It's incredible how soft and flexible it is while still being strong. br>I believe it is due to the fact that it is below freezing.
Selected User Reviews For 10/2 AWG Duplex Flat DC Marine Wire - Tinned Copper Boat Cable - White PVC Jacket, Red/Black Conductor - Made in The USA
I wanted to keep the voltage drop between my boat's cranking battery and the fuse block at the bow as low as possible. The mission was completed, shipping was quick, and the product was exactly what was advertised.
I replaced the existing weak 14AWG wire with this 10AWG (along with the ridiculous guillotine connectors) in order to bring my poorly designed fifth wheel brakes up to a safe standard. Added a ground buss at the axles and at the pin box to reduce the loop by 50%. The thicker gauge wire will also significantly reduce voltage loss and increase the current available to the brake magnets. For any rewiring project, I recommend this wire. It's tough and tinned, so it won't corrode quickly. It's all good. Maybe the manufacturer will come up with some color combinations that are compatible with trailer wire?.
It's good marine wire, with a softer outer cover than others, making it easier to fish through the hull and route where I wanted it. Recommend and will return for a 14-day stay. Later on, 16 gauge will be used for instruments.
I haven't used it yet, but it appears to be a very flexible, high-quality wire for my marine application. I wouldn't purchase it again, but I would recommend it to my friends.
In my small boat, I did a lot of wiring, and this wire performed admirably. Keeps it safe from oil, gasoline, and saltwater. Sweet.
This product was exactly what I was looking for to add a DC circuit to my RV. A well-built flat two-conductor 10AWG cable with tinned copper and black/red color coding.
Although I have yet to use it, the quality appears to be excellent, and Heavy Duty will provide an update in two weeks once it has been used.
