How Our Score Is Calculated

Product Description

It's a soft, easy-to-cast copolymer line with excellent stretch and abrasion properties, making it ideal for light-line fishing.
Without the proper line, it is difficult to be a successful angler.
The issue is that finding a light line that is both the right color and strength is difficult.
The amount of fish you catch will be affected if you use the incorrect line. When comparing lines of similar diameters, lines are the most powerful on the market.

This is a fantastic panfish line that has become our go-to for panfishing
5/5

It's a great way to cast. On cloudy and sunny days, we've caught fish in ponds and streams, as well as in crystal clear, stained, and chocolate milk-colored water. We've been using 4 lb test, but last night we tried the 2 lb test in a clear pond band and caught over 30 sunfish in a few hours because the two ld line is so soft. We find that both 2 and 4 work well for us.

I've never used a better or stronger fishing line
5/5

Trout Magnet fishing line has been my go-to for over 8 years, and there is no better fishing line in my opinion. Trout, bass, crappie, and bluegill are all caught with it.

I used to use the trilene xl 2lb test (which was the sole thing I could obtain locally so they would not sell them)
5/5

The trilene xl is fantastic, even though it doesn't hold as well as this line. The spool has enough line to fill my reel twice, and the line color (a see-through lime color) looks great on my pole and is completely invisible in the water to my eyes. I will definitely purchase this line again the next time I require additional supplies. A fantastic item!.

The line is fine, but it isn't appropriate for my needs
4/5

With my ultralight set up, I found the 2 pound test of this brand to be quite strong. Having said that, I discovered a few issues that caused me to change the line after only one day. The issue is not with the line, but with the test. br>br>The first is line twist, which occurs when a small diameter line floats in the air for an extended period of time before settling. When the jig is spinning in the air, it creates a lot of line twist. The second problem is that it floats in a clump. I had assumed that a thinner line would sink faster, but this was not the case. Third, I fish in areas where there is a lot of wood and vegetation. I had a lot of phone hang-ups. A couple of times, I was unsuccessful in retrieving my lure. br>br>It's difficult to work with a thin line. I used the term "bomb-" to describe what I did. I tried casting" a few times, and while it did provide me with some distance, it also twisted the line. That hasn't been my experience with higher test lines. Fourth, because the line was so thin, it was difficult to tie knots because it coiled up so much. I'm not sure how you guys manage to do it. With 6 lb fluorocarbon, I have a lot less trouble. Overall, I had a very frustrating time out on the water. br>br> It wasn't a problem with the brand this time, but it didn't fit my needs. I think I'll increase the test weight to 6 lb, which I'm fairly confident in and haven't had any issues with the fish biting on. I use tungsten jig heads and would like to reclaim them, if that makes sense. I don't want to leave my hooks on the river by using a weaker line, so I'll be using 6 lb mono because that's what I have. br>br>I'll be using 6 lb mono because that's what I have. If not, I'll switch to 10 lb braid and a fg knot to fluoro. It's just something I'm more certain will work for my specific needs.

My lures were ruined by brittle line
3/5

I recently traveled to Wyoming in order to go trout fishing. I used this line on two of my poles and was disappointed to say the least; it appeared to be strong at first, but it is brittle in the sense that it breaks easily. I misplaced a few lures while casting. My reel's line snapped as well, which I've never had before unless it was old and had been exposed to a lot of light. This is the last time I'll try this line. I'm out not only the cost of the line, but a few of my favorite lures as well.

I was happily surprised! I'm not usually one to use such a light pound test line, but the strength of this line astounded me! The line is labeled as green, but it is so thin that it is barely visible unless spooled up
5/5

While casting is simple and requires only one - I can easily hit a 30 size split shot out to 20 yards. I would recommend it and purchase it again.

Small in size, but deadly in effect
5/5

I snatched up the 2 pounder. I put it to the test in my ultralight trout setup. It feels strong and performed perfectly, casting out 1/8th oz lures without a problem besides the wind. You wouldn't think it could not snap, but I immediately landed a good-sized rainbow trout with it on my first cast. I've had no trouble with spools or birdnests because the line is barely visible. It's a smooth casting line with a small diameter that allows light weights to be thrown further. For the fish, it's small but deadly.

Money can't buy you a better line than this one
5/5

This line is super strong for a 2 pound test, and you can't even see it because it's so thin. I highly recommend this line because I caught 8 rainbow trout ranging in size from a pound to 3 pounds with no problems.
