The answer is none of the above. In order for me to fish Pacific Halibut, I use 80lb braid for the mainline, and 80-pound mono for the second line. You can use mono or wire leaders on the spreader bar that weigh 150 pounds each. No fluorocarbon is necessary when fishing for halibut since they are not line shy and you will be fishing at a depth where no light will get through.
Sadly, I only use it to dispose of For freshwater pike fishing, I use a steel leader with a rubber coating of 8 inches
It is recommended to replace the tippet with this material when using traditional fly casting. The material will be attached to the tapered leader by a blood knot or a double surgeons knot.
You can find the Seaguar Blue Label 50 Yards Fluorocarbon Leader in 10 Pound Test on "AMAZON". The spools come in 25 + 50 yards.

Instead of it, I use an old roll of monofilament that doesn't have a name on it, and I find it to be I use a monofilament as well that weighs 10 pounds and it is even There have been at least 10 occasions when just tying a knot has caused this line to break. It is estimated that at least five fish have been lost because of It doesn't happen with my monofilament of 10 pounds, so I know I'm not the culprit.
When the water is still, the line is invisible. With about 10 feet of leader attached to my braided line, my strike ratio went up and I caught more fish than the other guy, and he is a bass fishing machine.
I might tell him about the line if I catch more fish.
Having ordered Seaguar Blue Leader Line in 6lb and 9lb, I am now ready to tackle the water The strength/abrasion resistance has been increased by 8lb for our walleye jigging rods, based on the 'perceived' added strength. It would be great to have both the 6lb and 8lb Despite their stated weight, 8lb are extremely fragile, with a strength failure far less than the stated weight. In its place, I purchased Berkley's fluorocarbon line and threw away the old Seaguar Blue Leader Line. I would rate this product as a failure due to its poor quality.
My order was for two 10lbs seaguar leader lines one was the correct size and the other was not. Despite all the attention, I did not think much of the label indicating 10lb weight on top of the manufacturing label. As soon as I needed to use it, I noticed the lines were thicker than they usually are. On the Amazon label that I removed, it shows 80 pounds. Sadly, their mistake was not noticed until too late, and I used it after the 30 day return period had passed. Learn from this, buy them by the weight if you're ordering on Amazon or check the lines to ensure that they're the right weight if you're buying from the store.
Make sure it is made in the USA and not a fake one, as it is a top-quality line.
It has been a favorite of mine for many years in saltwater and freshwater fishing. It does not make sense to me that there is only 25 yards. Just a single spool of line is on a dispenser reel that was clearly intended for 500 yards. It is easier to manage, more practical, and more efficient to use the smaller 2 1/2" dispensers for 25 yds of boat and tackle box storage, rather than the larger 3 1/2" dispensers. For me to purchase a Seaguar in the future, this will be a game changer.
I have never lost a fish using this leader. It is the best I have found. I used these lines to land a 40lb salmon when I was fishing for steelhead in dirty water. I have tried the best of the best and this line is THE BEST! I personally landed a salmon that weighed 40lb with a 10lb leader.
There's a good bit more power to it than I find it much more difficult to cut my jig loose when it gets snagged up in the river.
