Questions & Answers

The line with a weight of 30lbs is more visible to a fish than the one with a weight of 15lbs? Is the transparency of both lines much the same irrespective of the size on the surface of the water?

There is an extremely clear line here, but it is think the fish can see the heavier line in the water more than the lighter line, since I can see it in the water more than the lighter. Considering how the line's flexibility effects your bait presentation is another point to keep in mind.

Are you not sure if 40# will hold a Palomar knot or that it's not a good It's big northern for me! ?

You may be able to tie the knot if you use it, but I would recommend using a metal leader.

Where does the seaguar blue label stand in comparison with the seaguar premier?

The diameter of the Premier sticker is smaller than the Blue sticker. Besides having more stretch, it is also more comfortable.

Does it use a smaller crimp or a larger crimp?

A lot depends on how heavy the line is. Go to Seguars' website and search When dimensions match, the figure will look right. Tie knots with 50# line, which I use for the heaviest line weight. A 12 foot nurse shark was successfully released using a 50# braid, along with a 50# leader, last summer.

It is TERRIBLE to use Seaguar Fluoro Premier 12 Pound Fluoro
3/5

Since I have been using Seaguar Blue Label 15 pound Fluoro as a leader for several years now, I cannot imagine using anything else. Several people have recommended that I try a smaller pound leader since I mostly fish for trout (Saltwater), so I finally listened to their advice. There is information out there that says using a thinner & I will be able to attract more shy fish to my lure with a lighter fluoro leader. As a result, I stepped up to the "Premier" product, expecting that it was better in all aspects. had only to move from the 15 pound line (Blue Label) to the 12 pound line (Premier), but the 12 pound line was much thinner and should allow me to catch more fish. The 12 pound fluoro was put on my four reels as a leader and I got ready to cast my tournament lines. I lost a brand new Johnson Sprite spoon when I cast for the first time of the day and the line snapped. As I was fishing today, all four of the premier leaders with 12 pound test broke. There were three new lures that I lost because the leaders never held together. For every one of them, I was able to verify that the leader had actually broken instead of a knot coming I'm not sure if I got a bad batch of Premier Fluoro or if I just got a bad spool, but I will never use it As a result of purchasing the line and having to replace three lures today, I am almost $50 in the hole.

You can't go wrong with fluoro
5/5

You may not know much about fluoro and why it's so awesome, but here's what you need to know The following are some examples of Aquatic life is virtually invisible to it. Due to the fact that it has the same refractive index as water (light passes through it as it would through water), this is the case. I find that pretty The following are the main points of There are many words in it. Designed as a leader, this is able to sink with your bait while allowing your braid to float free. The third point is The fact that Fluoro seems to be more durable than mono is emphasized by all fluoro companies. I agree with you. 4
You can have a straight line with it because it is stiff Would it be possible for a leader to ask for more? The first five points. This product does not have any elasticity. In contrast to mono, this stuff is not stretchy or flexible. One more reason why it's the best leader material is that it's highly durable. I am impressed with the feel and hooks. The following is a list of important things The quality of this stuff is poor, as I've said. The knots you tie must be good. My braided line is usually tied with a double uni knot, and whatever I am throwing is usually tied with a loop knot. I have simply found this combination to be the most effective. Well, I guess I should let you know what my leader length is. There are lots of factors to consider, like water conditions and so on. I normally tie on about a four foot section of line if I don't want to reel it (braid or fluoro) through the tip of the My fishing gear may not be exact science, as I have caught fish with needles as small as a foot or two in length. There is no right or wrong way to do it. As a result of wear and tear, I solely replace the leader when it looks frayed, damaged, or cracked. My fishing grounds are the backwaters in Naples, FL, where I usually pair up 25-28 fish I usually fish with 30 lb fluoro with 15 lb PowerPro braid. Redfish, Tarpon, Snook, Seatrout, and Mangrove Snapper are the most common game fish. There is something about this stuff that works for every single one of them. That's all I use for fluoro. The product is very durable and holds up well against my abuse. I edited it A picture of the first fish caught on this new spool of line is below. Hope you're having fun.

I chose to switch from steel leaders to fluorocarbon for the sole reason of still being able to give my normal fishing tactics to more line-shy fish, so I bought both the 12lb and 50lb for fishing major Northern pike
5/5

The braided line is attached using FG knots, and a uni-cord is attached using UF knots The knot is used to attach a switch or clasp. Although it was difficult at first to tie knots with these lines since they are stiffer than I am used to, I managed to tie solid knots after a few attempts. The lure was sucked up by a 33 inch northern which fought me hard on the 12 pound leader, the product I believe is the best I've ever used. The diameter of this diamond is 009. Although it was thrashing with this fluorcarbon monofilament leader rubbing up against its teeth, there was no sign of wear or abrasion on the line. They aren't lying about this product it's really good.

An incorrect image of this product has been uploaded
4/5

It is only because the package shown that I ordered this line (I already have Seaguar gold standard). The package pictured grabs my attention because it looks very slim and would fit well on a 30-inch plane Almost a hundred-mile trip on a canoe in which there is little room for maneuvering. In addition, this line comes in a much larger package which makes it seem very oversized. It's over an inch thick, which is strange, especially when all other line comes in a smaller package. There is no doubt that you only get 25 yds, and that's not much. In order to make it seem like you're getting more than you are, you don't need to wrap it up in an oversized box.

As a Florida Fishing Guide I use this leader in Florida when I am chasing yellowtail snapper and in Europe when I'm chasing northern pike
5/5

Yellowtail are very line shy and I can use 20# test when my partners have to use 15#. Due to my expertise, I have been able to land greater fish than anybody else. I use a 30-pound fishing rod when I'm fishing for Pike I got bitten a few times before I discovered I was using 40 # test instead of wire leaders. It has also been possible for me to catch a few WALLEYES (Zander) on the 30# and they are also very curious.

It works very well as a first string on an ukulele
5/5

Besides being a great fishing leader, Seaguar Fluoro Premier has many other advantages. I use it on my ukuleles as well as on classical guitars. A 50 LB version of this product is available. String A of a tenor ukulele or guilele, or a light tension string of a classical guitar, measures 0. 02” in diameter and is ideal for a tension of high tension. Due to the consistent diameter of the Seaguar material, which results in good intonation, long sustains, and clear, sweet tones with a slight brightness, the quality is phenomenal. Furthermore, it is glassy smooth, so you won't hear any noise when you pick or fret. As an added bonus, it is extremely tough and lasts about three times as long as nylon before fingernail and fret wear eat into it.

The picture displayed is not accurate
4/5

I love the actual leader line and gave 4 stars only because I wanted the product packaged as shown in the photo so I could easily put it in I received it on a regular spool of plastic Seaguar and since it is only 25 yards long it only fills one layer of line on the spool, which makes me think it is a waste of money and not what I wanted. The pouch would fit nicely into a teeny pocket, so I wanted it to come in a little plastic pouch.

Quite strong, but a little I fished salt water fish in the Florida panhandle with this and caught several large fish by hook and line
4/5

Although it is stiff and hard to tie, it is still very useful. Managing to get a 25 lb Red Drum by muscling it into the leader without fear of the leader breaking is amazing.
