This is a very stretchy, weak material. 10 or more There is a 20lbs difference between the advertised and actual weight. I will not buy from this company.
A stretchy leader like this one is unlike the Seaguar fluorocarbon leader. Due to that, the line is not sensitive at all and it does not seem like it is 40 lb. There is no comparison between its performance and the one of fluorocarbon leaders. It is cheap, but it doesn't perform like true fluorocarbon.
I keep getting a 1 error after 1 There were 2 fish bites and the hooks for a pampano set were lost. Compared to this one, I used seagur last year, which I found more dependable. If it's made in Japan, I wonder if it's made there. I saw it on Amazon the other day that it was made in China. A box on the shelf reads "made in Japan. ". On the basis of my experience, it appears to be a Chinese product. This product should not be recommended.
It never would have occurred to me. As a Daiwa Fluoro user I have no experience with it. The product was very good for the price and I am very happy with the results.
It's a reputable company, so I'm "hoping" these (arrived in two pieces of different strength) will work for me. My 4*** is only because I haven't used them yet until COVID restrictions for travel to the South Pacific are lifted.
In addition to this line, I also bought several 50# spools of fluorocarbon for my own leaders for northern pike. It is one of only a few to be found, and the price is reasonable. More leaders than I can use during the next few years will come out of it.
The 60 lbs model is great for casting out medium to large popper lures, and it will hold and pull in fishes within the weight range defined I have caught fish ranging from 20 to 60 pounds. A 40 pound GT, groupers, tuna, and snapper can be caught off the reefs and off the coast.
It had great strength and held up to repeated use.
