I originally bought it in a small, but it is apparently large. too baggy and long for me. I exchanged it for an extra small. I have included pictures of the extra small. Please keep in mind that I am approximately 65 years old. I weigh 135 lbs, am 5'4", and have a bit of a belly and love handles. Please, all-- *Not too tight, but not loose either - I wore this shirt during a summer day in Arizona, and it kept my skin from feeling like it was being cooked and allowed me to avoid a sun rash*- I find it very quick to dry
- This long sleeve is so breathable that in 106F weather I did not sweat any more than a tank top, I think I sweat less than a tank top as it dries so fast
- Despite the dust and heat of Arizona, this is surprisingly comfortable and makes riding a bicycle in that state a pleasure.
I really like Many colors have become a part of my collection. In addition to kayaking, I also wear them on the road. When I wake up in the morning, I wear a tank top and sneakers Usually I wear sunscreen, but after a few hours on the water I change into my Columbia long sleeve shirt. My smile stays cool even in the hot humid Summers of the South, and they block the sun's harmful rays. I've tried other brands and none seem to fit as comfortably or stay as cool as this brand There is nothing to worry about with these Designed to fit. For reference, I am a 38DD, size 16. I wear an XL in this shirt.
It works well to block the sun but is not very breathable. I found it to be okay in the 70's when I was working in the shade, but not so great in the sun when it was in the 80's (which is unfortunately when I need it most). While I soaked it to wear it wet, it worked very well to cover a swimsuit (so if you want to cover up for a swimsuit, it'd work well) but generally speaking, it's kinda lame.
My summer plans include running in two of these during the summer, but that simply will not work. Despite their light weight, these shirts are certainly not lightweight. There is a lot of weight to them. Furthermore, I noticed that mine keeps on smelling of body odor even after I wash, which is My favorite feature is the sun protection and how well they fit.
A perfect day on the boat when you get a sunburn is when you are on the boat. Getting it wet is our trick, as it feels so cooling, and it rests lightly on your skin. It's too tight under the armpit area seams for my liking so I returned the small (my normal size) and replaced it with the medium. I still feel a little odd in that area, but the fit seems so much better in the medium!.
The size of a large suits me fine in women's clothing since I am 6' tall, a broad women, and weigh approximately 175 pounds. I was able to fit into the large, but the armpits were a problem. As I am a tall girl, this doesn't occur very often, but in this instance was a little surprising because I have a women's button-down Columbia shirt in a size large that fits perfectly. Comparatively, I ordered a women's XL and a men's medium in a similar shirt. The women's XL was roomy at the armpits, but hung poorly across my chest and was extremely tight at the waist. This is the arm While pulling the shirt, I felt as if I was trying to straighten out the fabric in the arms or move it across my chest. The medium men's size was perfect the medium fits perfectly. Not too large, if not a bit The men's shirt is mine to keep and the women's shirt will be returned.
A good fit can be found in the torso. You should not wear anything too tight or There is a slight length issue with the sleeves. The neck is a little big to protect yourself from the sun, so you may want to wear a hat or gaiter with a wide brim. The fabric doesn't wick moisture as well as some shirts, but it does dry quickly after getting Kayaking is what I wear it for. I am in love with.
The sleeves are a perfect length and the waist fits me well. My plan is to order more in different colors as soon as the price is within my budget.
