Questions & Answers

Then can this be left out in the rain?

In the first instance, if you want a crossbow target that will not allow bolts to pass through but also It is this target that needs to be purchased. In response to your question, I don't recommend putting it outside. The elements and the sun will break down the covering over time. Because it's lightweight, you can take it anywhere. The target is one that I highly recommend, a decision I take very seriously.

A few days from now, I will be teaching my kid how to shoot an archery bow. He's five years old, and I am shooting a longbow weighing 10 pounds. CAN HE GET IN WITH ARROWS? She would be a success provided that she hits her ?

You can stop an arrow shot from a 10# bow with a cardboard box stuffed with rags.

There is a 30 pound barebow in my possession. Would it be okay for me to shoot this target?

I agree! Targets of this type are good for use with high-powered compound bows and crossbows the arrows often fall back out. Using my 70-pound compound bow that shoots arrows at 325 feet per second, and my high powered crossbow that shoots bolts at 345 feet per second, the arrows just slide back out by hand without pulling or prying. It is so cool to see the Bone Collector It will undoubtedly be cut into smaller pieces by Broadheads. It is not recommended that broadheads be used.

The penetration inserts on victory archery's vap arrows - does this stop them? Is it safe to shoot an arrow that weighs 70 pounds and measures 30 inches?

They stop when I shoot them with my 150-pound pull crossbow. do not try it with broadheads, because I don't know how long the cut will be.

I will never do this Several years ago I purchased a bag type target from the same manufacturer but was underwhelmed with it
3/5

I had recently joined my wife and I in shooting our bows in the backyard. Our targeting was re-done using a solid target made by another manufacturer, which we liked much better. Nevertheless, our old target had seen better days, so based on all the positive reviews, I decided to buy this one. A 70 lb. gun is what I shoot. Thank you. Arrows are stopped with ease by the target. There is apparently no easy way to remove any other arrow except with two hands and a lot of force. Apparently, the interiors of this mutt are made from some sort of woven nylon material that clings to the field points for dear life. Seeing this target can become a source of aggravation in what appears to be fun past time. There is no way I would want to experience this!.

Although the specs said it would be small, I was still a little surprised when I saw it
5/5

I had not realized how big it was, but that is both a good and a bad thing. I have only fired 6 shots at this target so far. I'm sighting in my new bow / scope, but I doubt it will be worn out anytime There is a new 280lb draw, 400 fps Excalibur Matrix Bulldog bow that I recently bought. The negative reviews about the depth of the arrow and the difficulty to pull both concerned me a bit, but I purchased the product Although the specs said it would be small, I was still a little surprised when I saw it. I had no idea that it was so large, but both good and bad things came of it. The larger it is, the more it weighs and the more bulk it requires to transport Although it's not very heavy, I can easily lift it and carry it into the back of a truck, and I am not particularly big. A 250 grain Diablo (Easton) carbon arrow with 150 grain field points that hits at 400 feet per second is heavy enough to not even move an inch when it hits. In my experience, the arrows only went halfway into the hole, and they were very easy to pull out. Earlier this year, I had bought an Excalibur T-shirt Based on reports of people finding it hard to pull the arrows, we developed a handle arrow puller. However, for now, I was able to save that money. I may find that useful with other targets in the future. I was very pleased with the way my arrows and field points turned out. A 19 x 19 x 19 inch cube - a wooden cube with a metal lid - is listed as this item. It may be closer to 24 inches, but I will need to measure it again. The large size of these foam blocks is superior to some of the smaller 12 to 15-inch dense foam blocks that tend to be difficult My friend has one of those bows, and he found that the arrows were tedious to remove from the foam with his bow at nearly 300 fps.

This target does not make me happy It is not my habit to write reviews, but I felt compelled to review this product
3/5

This target does not make me happy first glance it looks like all Morrell targets do, but it does not provide much protection against bolts fired from a 400 fps X bow mounted on a Mission MXB 400fps scope. Okay, first shot was 20 yards buried up to the vanes, but it stopped the bolt, so it was a success. We moved it back to 60 yds, and my first shot hit the target before hitting a previous hole, so the vanes ended up in the center of the target, not good for them We shot at a spot that had not been used previously, still up to the vanes at 60 yards, and shot the same spot again with the bolt making its way through completely. The only way I can use this target is to place an old Morrells super duper in front of it, and then it is The bolts on my bow shoot 400fps and up with heavy bolts, but I'm sure it's fine for compound bows and slow X bows. As a result, I wish I had obtained another Morrells super duper because you can at least pack the stuffing down.

Those of you who shoot crossbows, here are your options
4/5

There are staples on the bottom of this item, so that's the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars. The seam is completely missed in some cases because the pockets are in the wrong place. I have been destroying the fletching of my bolts by shooting from a PSE Thrive 365fps, but with regular targets. Almost nothing stopped the bolts doing their thing and they would go in past the fletchings, pulling them off and making them wrinkly. My intent was to fire one bolt on center at this object in the backyard from about 15 feet away - and I tossed it on center. Approximately 10 inches stood out from the bolt when it was stopped. It wasn't easy to remove, because of a core in the center that catches it, so you won't see it so much if you shoot with a bow, but for a crossbow with about 10 inches of penetration, you will see it quite a bit. Despite the obvious flaws, this is a winner. It does not seem like you will ruin your fletchings with it.

Whenever there is a frame rate over 400 FPS, the fletchings become damaged
3/5

About 405 feet per second is the speed of my bow. This time the number is 405, The fletchings on every shot I have fired from 20 yards have been ruined. I like it for my bows under 400 fps, but I don't think it holds up to its advertisements. Although it is a great price and target, I am only giving it a 1 Star because it does not It may seem impossible to have a target that can withstand 450 FPS while also producing an arrow or bolt that can be retrieved without a lot of effort, but I'm not the one who claims it does.

Easily works with my Excalibur axiom and crossbow, which shoots 305 fps
5/5

This target is great for my axiom and crossbow. There is a picture of this target being shot four times from 40 yards that I've attached. This can be seen by how easily the arrows are stopped safely, and how it can be removed with just For quite a long time now I have been shooting at the deer side of this target, but I haven't noticed any significant wear yet. I still stop arrows very well with this. This is the best target on the market when looking for bang for your buck.

There was a problem with Amazon
4/5

com that was fixed. According to the seller, they are unsure of how to sell. which was actually made for bows and not crossbows, although it cost twice as much as the target I received. In my experience, there is a significant difference between the two. It worked like a charm when I received the correct target from Amazon that is yellow, made to withstand 450fps crossbows and made to last a very long time. When the bolt reached 30 yards, it was buried halfway, but it still pulled out easily. That is what I said I would do. In the first target I received, the bolt was buried halfway but it took 2 hands, hammers, and a lot of effort to remove. It appears the reviews here are for almost every target they make. I am happy that Amazon provided the correct one for me in two The seller has no idea what they are doing, so I gave them 4 stars. In spite of that, the 450fps cube target with a game on all 4 sides is the best crossbow target of all time. Be sure you have the target listed and you read reviews related to this target before you try to sell it.
