Questions & Answers

Will it be able to stop a crssbow with a kinetic energy of 415 fps and 190 lbs?

My 405 FPS bow pierces the target with ease.

I'm looking for a new cover, but I can't seem to find one. ?

I've used them as a one-time use item.

I thought this bag included the anchor poles that were shown in some of the photos? This is not the case. ?

There are no anchor poles included. And there aren't any in the photos!

Is it capable of stopping a 375 fps field point crossbow arrow?

They stop with half to third of the bolt sticking out of the stop on my 390 fps bow. Pulling out the bolts is a piece of cake. It's a fantastic stop that I strongly suggest.

The Cobra Adder loves the H21 as a bag target
5/5

"Let me demonstrate its features to you. " I just finished my first 20 shots for both my Adder and this target bag as I write this. The Adder is a concern because it uses shorter bolts than my other crossbow and most crossbows I'm familiar with in this power range (obviously, those small pistol crossbows use even smaller bolts, so they don't count). This means that the penetration of a target bag must be limited enough to prevent veins from entering and being damaged. In most cases, this bag will suffice. Bolts land with a satisfying audible "thud" and almost perfect penetration. br>br> They go to convincing depths, but they almost always leave at least an inch between the veins. I say "generally" because if you hit the target close to the edge or at an odd angle, there's a good chance you'll damage the veins and have to use the hair dryer or hot water trick to straighten them out. Having said that, it only happened once while I was adjusting the sight. It didn't happen again after I got the sighting right and had no trouble consistently landing the bolts in the primary target areas. Only time will tell how well this bag holds up. br>br> These types of stuffed bag style archery targets, in my experience, last a long time; you may just need to replace the cover. br>br>One thing to keep in mind - My target wasn't orange, and the graphics on the bag weren't exactly as depicted. Although it is mostly white with orange and black graphics, the dimensions are correct, and the stopping power is adequate for my needs.

Excellent value for money; a fantastic target 400+fps? It's not an issue
5/5

I recently acquired a Killer Instinct Lethal 405 which promptly blew through my old "archery target," lol. This is a completely different world. It's something I've done about 25 times. None of the bolts were difficult to remove after 30 attempts. It's a substantial piece. Which is to be expected from a weapon capable of stopping a 400gr 22" bolt traveling at 405fps! If you shoot broadheads into the target, it won't last long, but I believe it will last years if you use target tips. I tested it with a broadhead once just to make sure it was accurate, and the outer casing now has a 2" hole in it. This is the best value target I could find for the money, and I spent at least an hour researching it.

I bought it used for $44 (basically open box) and it was of good quality and arrived quickly
5/5

The box was the perfect size and was well-packaged. Target appears to be extremely large. br>br>There are a lot of crosshair spots to shoot at on the target side, and the deer side is well marked. br>br>I can clearly see my arrows on the side with the deer. My arrows were difficult to see at 25 yards (they blended in) on the 4 target side (hurricane () symbol). For visibility, I'll need to get a variety of colored planes. br>br>The bag has a good visual appearance for aiming on both sides; until my scope arrives, I'm using a 3 dot RDS. br>br>I'm using a Barnett XP350 stabilizer and limb dampeners, as well as 20" carbon 410g arrows (including field tip) that only go 7" in the bag. br>The arrows I'm using must have a rough surface because the stuffing was grabbing onto a few of them, making removal difficult. However, for those few, laying the bag down and placing my foot next to the arrows, then pulling the arrows out, made it simple. br>br>Anyone with a higher-powered bow or crossbow should use this. I am very pleased with my purchase of this target.

Fast crossbows will have a field day with this target
5/5

After upgrading to a faster crossbow, I needed a new target, so I bought the Hurricane H21 Crossbow Archery Bag. The arrows are deflected by using this bag. With my final target, I smashed nearly as many vanes. The arrows protrude about a third to half their length from the front of the target. They're a little difficult to pull out, but that's what you get when you're dealing with arrows moving at 405 frames per second. I used to have another Hurricane bag for shooting with a regular bow a few years ago, and I used it a lot. After about a year of being left outside all the time, the bag began to deteriorate. The material on the outside began to tear easily. br>Despite its weight, the bag is easy to carry and can be hung on a framework. br>This isn't a general-interest publication. The target is the head.

It was a letdown of a show
3/5

USE WITH CARE WHEN WORKING WITH HIGH-POWER ELECTRIC ELECT Crossbows with a motor. According to some chrono videos I've seen, I'm shooting a crossbow rated at 415 fps, but it's only getting around 405 fps. br>br>What this target has going for it. Bolts are light and easy to remove, and bullseyes and deer vitals are easily visible. br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>b My bolt went through the bag and out the other side at 10 yards, so I guess when it says it can stop bolts up to 520 feet per second, they don't mean at 10 yards. My bolts still went through when I backed up to 20 yards (but I was smart and put straw bales behind the bag), so there was no danger. To remove my bolts, however, I had to remove the field tip and push the bolt back through the entry hole until there was enough of the bolt left to grab. I tried to pull the bolt through the exit hole, but it was difficult because I had to pull the fletchings through the stuffing as well. Your fletchings will be ruined in either case, and it will be a major pain to fix. br>br>I gave the bag three stars because it will most likely work better with crossbows that have a lower fps rating. Even so, when it says it can stop bolts up to 520fps, I'm expecting more.

If you don't want to ruin your bolts or broadheads, get something to hang it on
4/5

The description is so messed up that a whole WHITE bag arrived. One thing I didn't like was the target patterns, which don't appear to be going to do the job, but I'll update after shooting a few shots at it. br>br>Update: The bag is perfect for stopping fiel points/broadheads between 370 and 400 feet. Without any issues, 420 FPS. br>Durability is excellent; I've shot at it several times and have yet to have a bolt go through. Though the material (outside case) could be better, it's an excellent target for the price.

With your new crossbow, you're going to love this! After trying out my new crossbow on a friend, I decided to order this
5/5

This went off without a hitch. br>My Tenpoint crossbow shoots fast, and this easily stopped them, but even better, it was a one-handed pull out. Even with a "puller," the bolts barely came out of the "highly rated foam block" that I ordered first. and with both hands only).
