Always wear safety glasses while using a crossbow. It is useless not only because the arrows are broken but also because this is a complete junk product. I first pulled the plastic from the hook and the metal shattered into my glasses before I could throw it away. An image of the broken hook is shown, with the plastic having snapped off completely.
My face was injured and a part of my eye nearly lost when I cocked for the first time. If I had read the reviews before ordering this, I would have made the right choice. Having been scarred would involve a lawsuit for me as a woman.
I just received my new crossbow today, and I'm excited to let my wife try it out as she sometimes has trouble cocking mine. The clips slide together when we pull up on them and block the string from entering the slit where the lock is, I also tried it out and found it much easier to pull the 150 pound draw string back with my hands, using this useless item I couldn't get three inches of movement.
As for the string, it is strong and smooth, and the bearings are smooth as well. length so that I could shorten it a bit so as to ensure I was able to get the bow string back all the way.
In the event that my primary breaks, this will be my backup. It serves as a backup for the same reason you have a spare tire when driving. Glad to hear that.
As far as I can tell, this product doesn't simplify things Perhaps it's just my crossbow (PSE Viper) or me, but I can pull up the sting several times and it does not lock onto the arrow. It is pulling at a different angle and holds every time if I remove the cocker and pull it by hand. Maybe it's just that I am pulling at a different angle when I pull by hand. I'm not sure why it doesn't work properly. It worked just fine one out of four times, and I think it went smoothly the first time. In theory, I suspect the product does its job adequately, as it makes it easier to pull the string back. Perhaps it's just me who has the problem. In light of that, even though I will probably never use it, I don't want to give a bad review. works like it's designed to, and it is easier to use than doing it by hand. But I don't seem to be able to adapt it to my needs. Obviously, the string simply pulls back, so there's no problem with the product.
For the price, the tool is very good. Spend no more, it's the same cocking tool I got with my crossbow, and it works just fine. The one I bought is to keep at the back of my truck in case I forget to pack the.
