A bad batch was delivered to me
3/5

For the past four years, I've used nocturnal lighted nocks and have always enjoyed them. Last year, I purchased a set and had issues with two of the three nocks. After being turned off, the light would not turn back on. They didn't turn off until the batteries ran out. I emailed Nocturnal, who said I'd need the original receipt to get a refund (I bought them at Walmart and misplaced the receipt). Last season, I decided not to use them and ended up losing an arrow in tall grass after a deer pass through. I'm hoping that Nocturnal improves its quality control. I can see why they didn't give me a refund. The receipt was misplaced. I'm sure nocturnal would have made it right if I had bought them here on Amazon because I would have had proof of purchase. There will be no ill will.

A rattling sound is heard
3/5

It's a minor annoyance, but it irritates me greatly. I've only recently begun using lighted nocks in the last couple of years, and I've only purchased one set so far. When I put the new nocks in, I noticed one of my arrows was rattling. I double-checked the insert and broadhead to make sure they were both secure. When I removed my new nock, I assumed something had gotten into the arrow I had just cut and inserted (to align with my Montec blades), but nothing came out. When I reinstalled the nocturnal, I heard it for the first time and realized it was coming from the new nock! Then I double-checked all three and discovered that two of them make the same rattling noise! Granted, this won't bother deer because it's not loud enough, but it irritates me! Moreover, one of my Nockturnals, which I purchased last season, has already failed! It only lasted an hour or so after I shot a doe one evening (I'm not sure if it's the same one). I'm quite dissatisfied with their quality. The next time I visit, I'll try their competitor.

It's a great tool for seeing where your arrows land and for watching them fly
5/5

To make it easier to see where my arrows hit their targets, I began using the Nocturnal nocks. Even with my Vortex 6x range finder, some of the targets on the field course I shoot are in shady areas and up to 80 yards away, making it difficult to see the arrows. When you release the arrow, the Nocturnal lights turn on, allowing you to easily monitor the flight path and see roughly where the arrow hit the target. (I say about because the nock and tip aren't always perfectly aligned, making it a little deceiving. ) I enjoyed being able to see the arrows as they flew, so in addition to the two 80-yard targets on the course, I moved back to 95 and then 100 yards to test the nocturnal nocks and my new sight. (I was also using a Trophy Ridge React One Pro Dovetail, which I highly recommend. ) It was incredible to be able to track the flight all the way into the targets. br>Not only was it simple to remove the old nocks and replace them with the Nocturnal nocks, but it was also simple to turn them off with the Nocturnal nock tool. All of the arrows' turn off holes should be aligned with the white fletching. I highly recommend these and plan to purchase more once my current batteries run out.

I've had nocks for a couple of years and would like to fall in love with them
3/5

I've been using these nocks for a few years and would like to fall in love with them. Due to the high failure rate, I am unable to do so. I've purchased five packages of these in the last two years because I believe in practicing the way I intend to hunt, so I use these nocks for everything. Unfortunately, at least one nock in each package has failed to function properly thus far. Some light up brightly at first, then fade away to almost invisible in seconds, while others light up brightly at first, then go off when they come into contact with a target. I have e- I emailed the manufacturer, and they said they would replace the defective ones if I sent them back. As a result, the review focuses on the apparent lack of quality control rather than on customer service.

Lighted Nocks are a fantastic addition to any room
5/5

On Thursday, 1/2/14, I got these nocks in the mail. In just a few minutes, I had the nocks inserted into my arrows. When compared to the Burt Coyote Lumenoks, one of the advantages of these nocks is that they do not rely on contact points on the nock's edge to activate. I use Gold Tip XT Hunter 5575 arrows. br>br> Before inserting the nocks, I didn't need to use any bow string wax. However, if you're having trouble inserting the nocks, you might want to consider using some to help you out. Another suggestion I have is to use a Gorilla Grip arrow puller instead of pliers to remove your old nock or insert your new nock. During the installation or removal, there's no need to be concerned about scuffing or cracking the nocks. The Gorilla grip is an excellent choice. I simply lined up the nock with the cock fletching and pushed it flush against the end of the arrow when installing it. The arrow did not need to be squared before use, which saved a lot of time. br>br>On Friday morning, I went to the archery range and was blown away by how well the nocks functioned. I wore these nocks for about an hour and had no problems with any of them. The ease with which these nocks can be turned off is one of their most appealing features. A colored collar can be found inside the nock. When the arrow is shot down range, the collar shifts towards the arrow, causing the light in the nock to turn on. When you're ready to retrieve your arrow, simply insert another field tip, in my case the tip of a pen, into the opening at the base of the nock and push the colored collar up towards the tip of the nock until the light turns off. You only need a little force to get it back into place. It's very straightforward. br>br>When I first started shooting the lighted-scenes, I was worried about one thing. The nock was a 20-grain addition to the arrow's weight. My arrow's flight is identical to that of a standard nock, I discovered. I'm currently shooting a Mathews Drenalin with a 28-millimeter lens. The draw length is set at 65 pounds and the draw length is set at an inch. I've shot as far as 50 yards without needing to make any pin adjustments. br>br>The only minor criticism I have of this nock is that it is not as bright as the Lumenoks I use. The nock, on the other hand, can be seen from 50 yards away. I'm going to videotape a practice session to see how well the nocks can be traced after they've been shot. I'm not sure how visible these nocks are in natural light because I've only shot them indoors. br>br>On account of their ease of use and overall performance, I strongly recommend these nocks. If you're not sure what to get, buy a few different brands and try them out to see which one works best for you.
