With Amazon, I have bought a number of pairs of shoes and have always been able to find shoes that fit my size 14 foot well. There is too much narrowing at the toes of these shoes. very thin legs and feet, so the fact that these shoes are too narrow across the toes is extraordinary for me. This shoe will probably not fit many people in this size, at least not as well as I thought it would.
I ordered wide and they were still quite snug. They are a good looking shoe with good traction, but they run on the narrow side. In addition, they need time to get used to their new systems. The first 18 steps I took left me with a blister on one heal. However, now that the shoes have been broken in, they're much better. Golf shoes from Ecco are my favorite brand. I have four pairs. These are naturally wide and super comfortable as soon as you open them. In the future, I will only buy Ecco's.
An Adidas 12 is a good point of reference. A 12 wide would have been too small for me. Bought this as a 5 Wide and they are not wide at all. Their length is good, but they have a narrow fit and a pointy toe box that make them feel painful at first. This appears to be a good quality shoe, and hopefully next time I can get an extra-large Does it widen?.
Having previously purchased 5 pairs, I wanted these because I really enjoy the pro/sl technology. Both items do not fit the same way or have the same The toe box is small and tight, and the soles are very stiff. Having fun with your feet shouldn't have been your priority. I hate you. You jacked up the price on these and I don't like them.
Whenever FJ designs their 'tour' level shoes, they seem to put comfort at the bottom of the priorities list, which is odd. In light of some reviews, I was hoping that the new Pro/SL would have differences. Performance was excellent in all areas There are no issues with traction, stability, or balance (hence the 3-star rating) It was very uncomfortable and I ended up with blisters on the back of both ankles after six holes, which is inexcusable. I had to switch into another pair of shoes when I left the course. Although I am not sure why FJ can't design a more comfortable heel cup, in the current day and age golfers aren't looking to break their golf shoes in.
My final score is a 12 CD. A variety of widths were tried, from narrow to regular. There are very few options for the toe box if you get the regular width. It was not possible for me to As I can't bring myself to buy a third pair (wide), I'm going to have to try something else. What a shame, since they are very attractive shoes.
I have worn them a few times and the In an attempt to put this into perspective, I am a high single figure handicapper and wear different shoes depending on my outfit and the weather. It has been less than 10 times since I have worn these FootJoys, and they are totally ruined. Those shoes look like new to me because my Adidas and Nikes are over 3 years old and show no wear like these. The only conclusion I can draw is that they are made of substandard materials, which is really disappointing considering that the pair of FootJoy's I previously owned, that I replaced these with, lasted me over three years, not what I expected from the leading golf footwear brand.
My cheaper golf shoes got me nothing but sore feet, so I avoided spending this much on golf shoes by buying lesser shoes. The decision to bite the bullet was the right one for me. With no complaints from my feet, I have walked 18 holes 3 days in a row! Another positive is that these shoes clean up very easily. Considering that there aren't any nooks and crannies to collect dirt and mud, this might be a good feature to have. Apparently they are still as good as new after being soaked in mud multiple times. Leaves stick to the bottom of these shoes, which is the only negative I can think of. It has a lot of tiny spikes on the bottom that provide great traction, but the leaves are also effective in sticking to them.
