The Odyssey halves I have been using are not compatible The White Hot insert came in a mallet, and I was unable to keep the ball square or on line, despite loving the shape and shaping of the mallet. Putts are critically important for good golf. In my opinion, a mallet design would be more effective in achieving this, which is why I tried this design. Shorter shafts are a plus for me because I like to be closer to the ball, so I like that option with Also, I had never used a fat grip before, so I went with that option in hopes that it would help me keep my grip in line and steady. As a result of using this putter for about 4 months, I have definitely noticed that I am striking putts consistently more squarely on line and on my preferred line. The fat grip took a little while to get used to, but I believe it helps stabilize the My eyes enjoy seeing the club head and the black allows me to track its path more precisely, so I am enjoying it. It took some time for me to adjust to the putter and dial in its performance, but I'm happier with it now.

In place of my old Ping mallet head, I bought an Odessy putter. There are nice lines on the top of the Odessy that are ideal for getting good alignment. It has a mallet-type head but can still pick up a golf ball on the back side. I am still getting used to it, but so far it has been beneficial and should contribute to an improvement.
