Okay, I'll admit that I'm probably the odd man out in this conversation. I've experimented with a variety of hybrid styles, makes, and models, but have yet to find a consistent look. Regardless of lie or contact, distance was not what I expected, and I even took the 3 wood (fairway metal) out of my bag for the same reason. I hit my drivers very well, even those with whom I haven't spent much time. As a result, I found myself in a losing position. br>br>After watching a few videos, I discovered that "utility clubs" were available and appeared to be very useful for someone who can hit irons well. So I took a chance and bought this relatively inexpensive utility club to give it a shot. It ticked all of my boxes, to be sure. The 18* 3 iron gives me the distance of a hybrid or fairway wood without the inconsistency. I hit it hard, and the ball flew exactly where I wanted it to. I've only played three rounds with it so far, and I've only hit it two times. three times from the ground, and two times from the air Three times off the tee (short par 4 doglegs), and nearly every shot was perfect. It's also tolerant. br>br> I've hit a few off the toe end without losing a lot of yardage or fading to the right. With the mishits, it just keeps it short and sweet. br>br>If you have good distance control with your longer irons but struggle with your hybrid/fairway woods, this is definitely worth a shot. br>br>FYI, I practiced a few shots in the backyard before going to the course. That concludes our discussion.
The club arrived on time and in its original packaging. This club has filled a void in my game that neither hyprids nor woods could. Any player who has trouble with hyprids or woods but hits irons well but has trouble with regular long irons should consider this club.
I've got a 5-piece UHX iron set. PW(steel), and I'd like to include this club in my collection. So far, so good. I've only been to the range a couple of times. It's chunky, which I like, and almost hybrid-like, but it's easy to hit and lasts a long time. 3/4 irons have always been a problem for me, but not anymore. I really like the graphite shaft, and I almost wish the rest of my set was like it.
I'M NOT SURE WHAT CLUB THIS IS, BUT A 4 IRON WAS REQUIRED.
These have a slightly different sound and feel to them, but they still perform admirably. It has the feel and sound of a hybrid rather than an iron, but it sets up and plays like a regular iron.
This Cleveland utility 5 iron is incredibly easy to use. I had been having trouble with my 3 wood and 5 hybrid for a while, so I decided to give this a try since I hit long irons well, and it's been a game changer! Off the tee, he hit nearly 260 yards and 220-yards, respectively. 230 yards from the tee or fairways.
This club has been a blessing in my life. This is the place to be if you despise hybrids. It's just as effective in the rough as it is on the fairway. When it comes to swinging, the weighting is superb. Despite my high handicap, I rarely have bad shots. In addition, the cost is very reasonable. I strongly advise you to do so.
Beautifully packaged. What an amazing driving iron. br> br>For those who left negative reviews, there is a large sweet spotbr>br> It's not magic, don't get me wrong.
