It was mentioned in reviews that you can make this on your own. That is likely, but the PVC used on this is pretty thick and durable. Here in San Francisco, I have used it on the beach a number of times. This is the second one I have bought. This is something I recommend. Although it gets well deep into the sand, it's tall enough to be above the surf even as the tide is coming in.
It works fine I just attach it to the pier with a ratchet strap. When I am at the pier, it holds up well to The product is excellent.
Some other similar products are better than this one. During a surf fishing trip this past week, it was used in wet as well as dry sand. I give it an A+.
It bent the first time I tried to use it. The water was wet as I was surf fishing on the I would never waste money on something like that.
It is very popular with my husband. also uses it in other places where.
I was very happy with the outcome.
The price is good.
When I tried to push the pointy end into the sand, it bent over.
