I just couldn't make them My Cleveland Launcher HB irons have been awesome for the past six months, and the HB 4 and 5 hybrids have been amazing for about a year, so I wanted to check out the 5-iron to see how I would use it. Take a look at wood. I am amazed! It is easier to hit the ball high and long now than it ever has been. Trying these fairway woods might be helpful if you have struggled with fairway woods. It will blow your mind. They are highly recommended.
Last night I got it. The range was the first thing I did this morning. With the irons, I was able to catch up well. My new 3wood went dead straight on the first swing after I pulled it out. A typical process takes four to five weeks I had to swing five times to get my old 3 wood to work. A par 5 on the course was my downfall after I muffed my drive. My two 3-woods hit 235 and 225, and I was on the green within seconds. It's so amazing! There are no words to describe the love I have for this club!.
We begin our golf league with a par 5 hole. As a result of my "normal" drive, I swung it on the green for the first time in two swings. It is an understatement for me to say that I am pleased. This 5 wood has proved extremely successful for me on long par 4's as well as as an approach shot on par five's since I first used it. Since I am over 65, I have no problem swinging this club, and I can hit the fairway or green consistently, resulting in greater distance. Even Cleveland was out of left handed models. I'm considering the 3 wood and driver that match, but this is not available in Cleveland. I would highly recommend it.
With my 5 wood, I was able to hit the 4 wood farther. I am proud to say that my handicap decreased after purchasing these clubs.
Cleveland irons have been my favorite iron, and I was hoping this highly rated FW would follow the same trend, but I have hit it all over the course in various spots and found it to be very disappointing.
The distance seems a little short compared to what I thought it would be. Although driving fairway woods isn't the easiest thing to do, having difficulty swinging at them may have more to do with me than the club. As the numbers of my hybrids 3 and 4 increase, I seem to be doing better.
It was the shaft on this club which piqued my interest. The shaft has a Miyazaki design, so I can hit the ball straight and long with it. I have to play a longer shot on 2nd shots to par 4 and par 5 holes because it has completely eliminated my slice. This is also a very good option for long par 3 holes.
The club has been delivered to us without the head cover for the second time this year. It is stated that a power cord is included, but it is not included. When we returned the first one, we were told a new one with a head cover would be sent. As well, the replacement does not have a cover.
