This isn't the same hat I've been wearing since 2012, when I purchased it on Amazon. The brim/bill is stiff and uncomfortable, with numerous new stitching rows. I'm comparing the new and old side by side, so it's either a different manufacturer or a change in the Nike factory product line, but the name remains the same. This was my last purchase because it was no longer the most comfortable cap available.
Okay, this is a good cap in general, but Nike, at the very least, can you make more cap sizes? It just looks odd on me because I have such a large head. It's the equivalent of putting on a kid's cap. And, yes, I know what you're going to say: it's adjustable. Yes, YOU IDIOT SANDWICH, IT'S ADJUSTABLE! BUT HOW WOULD YOU FEEL ABOUT WEARING A TODDLER'S CAP THAT ADJUSTS TO YOUR HEAD SHAPE? True, it fits, but does it appear to be attractive? NO! I'm sick of looking for a good cap with nice breathable mesh that doesn't get sweat stains like cotton caps do. I'll just return this item later because it makes me look like an idiot when I wear a cap that doesn't fit properly on my head.
The material is of poor quality and appears to be flimsy. This Nike hat does not appeal to me in the slightest. I used to have a lot of nicer, higher-quality Nike hats, but the new ones are flimsy, made of lower-quality material, and don't hold their shape as well as the old ones did. Perhaps they're trying to save money, but I sincerely hope that the old Nike tennis hats can be brought back.
The information on this hat is deceiving. The image depicts a unisex hat with a bill that is of a reasonable size. "Men's Department," according to the description. " The hat that arrived was (1) labeled as a women's hat and (2) had a very small bill. I'm disappointed that this product was not made clear up front, so I'll be returning it and going to a Nike store to make sure I got the right one.
It quickly dries. I have three of these hats, all black, that I alternate between wearing at the gym and wearing outside during the summer. Even though my oldest one is ten years old, it still looks and functions like new. The material dries quickly, does not retain odors, is extremely light, and packs small; I like how it hugs my head without adding bulk. I like how quickly it dries, so I can pack it dry in my suitcase after a workout when I travel. It also crumples up small enough to fit easily into a cargo pant pocket on the go. The hat was filthy and damaged when it arrived. I bought this hat because I already owned one in black and it's fantastic. It's breathable, light, and stylish all at the same time. The quality of this hat, on the other hand, was completely unacceptable. In several places, it was filthy. If I wanted to buy a dirty hat, I could have done so elsewhere.
I bought it and took it to the Dominican Republic with me on vacation, and it was perfect; great quality, no problems; exactly what was shown above in the photo was exactly what I needed. The material dried quickly, which was exactly what I required. The sun had been scorching earlier in the day, so this was an excellent way to give my face some extra protection. I'd suggest it. The fit in my head was comfortable and snug, and you can easily adjust the size to fit your head.
" Hat with no structure and is extremely lightweight. Even the bill has a thicker edging and a thinner middle. They've taken the lightweight concept to its logical conclusion, and I like it. Because I sweat profusely, I always wear a hat to keep the sweat out of my eyes while working out. Despite its thinness, it performs admirably in terms of sweat absorption. Because the bill is so thin, it doesn't easily mold into a curve like a regular hat would, but I completely soak it and it's dry and ready to go the next morning. I believe this is a good value for the money.
