In my opinion, 5 years is an exceptionally long time to keep a net out in the weather. I had this net outside from Spring to late Autumn. Over the course of the last few years, my now 16 year old son has taken literally thousands of photos on this internet, and I myself have taken my share. The one bit of advice I can offer is to get a 100' long nylon rope to wrap along the metal of the net, intertwining it between the nylon of the net to keep it in place once the Velcro strips are in As time passes, the Velcro will likely break rather easily, but the rope will remain in place for the duration.
We didn't have any choice but to get this net because it's the only one that fits our goal. Our previous nets did not hold up all that well and the velcro straps deteriorated over time. Zip ties extended its life slightly but not very Having noticed Franklin makes a similar goal with a folding net that has bunji cords to keep the net in place, I cannot help but notice they make a nicer goal that folds up and has bunji cords. This net cannot be replaced since it's not available. You should choose the goal with a nicer net if you are looking to purchase one. A package arrived within a short timeframe.
As for the net material, it feels durable, but I will update my review after 6 months and after a year. This was an easy installation. There are tabs for each corner that are red and blue. Having to purchase additional materials to secure the nets has caused me to spend more than I ought to. Let me share a tip with you. aren't strong enough, so I had to put them back on during games after my first purchase. This is my second purchase because the straps failed to hold and I had to put them back on. As you can see in my pictures, bungie chords and zip ties are the best options. Their strength and durability makes them more reliable.
In the back yard, I bought a goal post for kids to practice on. Over time, the net got ripped and I was about to purchase a new one. I came across this and thought it might work. Despite my doubts, it is an excellent net that is better than the one that came with the goal post. I followed the instructions to install it (keep red tabs on the corners) and it took only 15 minutes to attach it to the post using the Velcro that came with it. In spite of hard kicks by my kids, it still feels solid and is holding up nicely. When the wire ties come off, I will try to use them again. I would say that this is a very good value for money product.
Although it did not exactly fit the frame that I used, it still worked, I just had to stretch it to make it fit properly. As well as a 6x12 frame, the picture was 6x8. There is no point putting on the Velcro straps since they tend to come off all the time. It is recommended to use white zip ties. Netting of this size/quality is not super thick, but it will do the job, this is why it will probably last maybe 1 season of travel soccer, but it can last more than 2 seasons of With a price of $25 - we think it's a fair price.
We replaced the old yellow net with this white net because it was an eye sore, so when we needed to replace it, we chose it because it was high visibility.
With a white net, the goal looks much more professional. It was a bit much to use the high visibility yellow of the original.
This replacement goal fits perfectly in the old goal and has exactly enough velcro strips to attach to the old Our opinion is that it is good.
It is in your best interest to install the recommended software. You should then remove all the Velcros from the long part of the goal that touches It is proper to toss them in the trash. You might be able to find another solution around the house It would be ideal if there were five bungee cord hooks. These should be used in their place. You must feel proud of saving countless hours and frustration from having to reattach the Velcros on the bottom of the goal every time the kids shoot the ball.
There is no room for my 4x6 frame to fit through the net, and the Velcro strips are pretty thin. Small hitters may be able to knock it out, but quick shots are unlikely to hold up for long.
