Questions & Answers

The rust-oleum 206043 industrial choice 17 should work with this product What is the volume of white spray for inverted striping on an athletic field?

My experience is limited when it comes to spray cans used for athletic fields. To fit the metal fixture on the cart that releases the spray, a piece of white plastic sized about 1/2 inch by 1/4 inch needs to be on the top of the spray can. A 1/4-turn turn on the lever will engage the spray if you place the can in the cart and turn it 1/4-turn. A failure to do this will result in the paint not being released for the other 4 inches of the area. It would be my pleasure to examine both containers - Three different types of cans are available a cart one, a parking lot striping can, and the athletic field one. There is a good chance it will work if both tops are the same. It worked great for our parking lot to have the cart and cans. The amount of cans I used was five cases.

I wanted to paint bike trail stripes on the Are you expecting this to make a sharp turn?

Curves can be made by raising the front tires off the ground, but otherwise it will be sharp angles, and if you want dark lines then you will have to paint them multiple times. My suggestion would be to use a roller and either tape or thin cardboard to guide you.

Do you know of anyone who has tested it on a tennis or pickleball court?

I bought it and spray paint for my husband, who is a general contractor, and he used them on a 200-car parking lot for a restaurant 9 months ago, and the paint The interface is straightforward and easy It is a highly recommended

If I lower or raise the machine to strip, what action is taken by the machine?

Depending on its size, it increases or decreases the strip

Great! Works like a charm
5/5

It was difficult to draw a straight line so I re-did it. Identify the parking spaces at an apartment building by sweeping the area. obtained a quote for the job from a contractor that was overly expensive. In the end, I decided to buy the striping machine myself and learn how to use it. Despite the need to adjust the trigger cable, the machine worked well, and the job came out fine. Here's some advice In order to make a really straight line, you have to line up a 2 x 4 square parallel to the line you want to make and exactly 6 1/2 inches from the center of your intended line. It is advisable to duct tape the 2 x 4 to its location so that it does not move around. Put the wheels of the striping machine on the edge of the 2 x 4 and roll the machine along it to make your line. Of course, as you gain experience, you will be able to make a straight line without the 2 x 4.

What is the importance of size In this case, the size of the question was four inches
5/5

The second part of the picture is a bit unclear, so here are some clarifications The height of the question is 4 inches. When the mount for the paint can is moved up, it gets approximately a 4 inch width line and when it moves down, it gets about a 3 inch width line -- That indicates that anybody who did not achieve this width was simply unable to read the directions to raise the lift in which the can is mounted by squeezing a couple of wing nuts. It is also possible that their spray cans were spun in the wrong direction (since the tip of the striping can is a long slit that should be aligned perpendicularly to the machine's travel path. There are instructions for doing this as well, and it is very In the case where the spray tip slit is placed parallel to the travel path of the machine, you would most likely get a very thin paint line, and this is unlikely to happen- I read the instructions and I didn't make that mistake, so I am not sure if it was that. I have three convenience stores with parking lots and it takes about 2 hours per parking lot with this machine, a few cans of paint each, a chalk line, a few tape measures, and a girlfriend to do it. The products are available right here on Amazon, though not always at the best price. We could have done the whole project for about $150 instead of a few thousand.

It is not quite as good as the professional stuff, but it will work. Especially when you consider how much money you'll save. There is a possibility that you will do a crooked line or that your painting will be overdone and overdone Paint the line, but do so with caution, so the errors don't stand out too much. My lines became a little blurry later in the day after the winds picked up. This is probably due to my machine being set up for the 4 inch stripe, which is the highest elevation of the four inch stripe and therefore has the greatest chance of being disturbed by the wind. It is a little blurry, but it will do for now- Having a few regrets, as it were, is nothing to be ashamed of. My real rating would probably be four stars, but I decided that I had to counter balance that with my own thoughts It balances the ignorance of the illiterate who gave it a one star because they did not know how to paint a four-star picture An inch line can be drawn Their reviews were written by their mothers I presume (they must have asked their mothers to do it for them), since neither had the intuition to adjust it correctly. It seems clear that you must not read the instructions in all practical respects It is highly likely that if you just look at your machine and the paint can for a moment, you will be in with the majority and could paint a nice, solid line. If you find you cannot, then this machine helped you learn more about yourself - thank goodness for it! It still gets four stars, so you should probably give it more. Do not rate the machine, but rather the machine itself.

It does what it's supposed to do
4/5

When we sealcoated the parking lot at our church, we used to rent one of these. They are no longer being rented out at any of the rental centers in our area. Some white lines were stenciled by ourselves with homemade cardboard stencils, but the process took a long time. I had to adjust the cable out of the box. When the factory setup is in place, the sprayer won't spray paint. As with the brake on a bicycle or a gear cable, it works the same way. As it turned out, the fine tuning adjustment wasn't quite enough, so I had to loosen the nut and tighten the cable quite a bit to get it to work, but it only took five The program does what it is meant to do. This product appears to be made of a very sturdy steel construction, so it will last forever. They easily fit in and out of the Rustoleum inverted spray cans, and they are held securely in place while in use. It is not difficult to make good straight lines if you use a starter line, either with a chalkline, or using fishing line and two weights like I did. There was no trouble with the math even with angled hash marks, etc.

My only complaint is that the edges of the lines seem a bit fuzzy when it's adjusted high enough to get full width lines (around halfway up). The only way to solve that problem would be to tape it up with wide tape for protection, but that would defeat the purpose of saving time. Maybe some sort of guard could be erected on the wall to redirect paint, but I'm afraid it would collect paint and start dripping.

I have a perfectionist streak, and had to accept that the lines wouldn't have crisp edges like something I would paint within a room. From the street, it looked perfect, but I realized it will be driven on, plowed, muddy, etc. , so the parking lot is just a parking lot.

It is essential to line fields with these materials
5/5

The Youth Soccer League (AYSO) bought many of these machines from me for the league. In spite of how painful it is to line fields, these machines reduce wear and tear on the liners. paint can is easily grabbed by the mechanism, and with enough force, the paint emerges in a thick, solid line, and a parent volunteer can easily clean an entire field of paint in under 30 minutes, including the center circle and penalty bowls. In spite of the fact that our machines are all volunteer-operated, and they may not always receive the tender loving care they deserve, they hold up for years and die slowly, so a replacement can be ordered in plenty of time.

As long as the trigger cable is adjusted correctly, it usually works
4/5

I just added a parking lot and needed to stripe it. In the parking lot I used concrete screenings, so the surface was not solid. As I used a 45 degree configuration, I thought that striping would be a very significant help. I also accept that restripping is a regular job. In any case, taking all that into consideration, I don't care for crisp In general, the little cart runs fine and is sufficiently robust. * The only problem could be the adjustment cable, which is weak. The amount I want is The lines are 4 inches wide. In order to achieve these, the spray nozzle needs to be positioned at the highest position within the adjustable range, that should not be a problem. However, the trigger cable needs to be adjusted so that the adjustment screw is located at the It would be better if the cable were shorter. It helps me keep straight lines by riding along a series of (at the top of the trail) I have nothing bad to say about this, it has worked for me.
