I believe it would be determined by how far you are from the c-. section. I had a tummy tuck a few years ago and swear by the support that spandex pants and capris provide. If your operation was recent, you might want to seek advice from your OB. They're quite shapely. Don't cram me in, but don't suffocate me.
I'm not sure how to respond to that. What is the size of your belly and how far along are you? Is your doctor comfortable with you wearing form-fitting clothes? I can only speak from my own personal experience and not from the perspective of a pregnant woman. They fit true to size and are snug in a good way (at least on me). Before purchasing something like this, I would consult with your doctor.
Yes. That was a requirement prior to making a purchase. They're on the side of the upper thigh, not directly at the hip. Which I like because whatever I have in my pocket (usually my phone) doesn't stop me from working out or going for a walk.
I like the pants, but I've only purchased dark colors, so I don't know the answer to your question. However, I own three dark colors and am completely satisfied with them.

It arrived in the same condition as shown in the photo. I have thick thighs, so I ordered an L, and I'm 220 pounds, so it's a little stretchy. It has a pleasant sensation to it. For the first time, I put it on today.
I'm picky when it comes to leggings, but I'm not willing to pay $100 for them. These are, without a doubt, my top picks! I have an hourglass figure with a long waist. These are extremely high waisted and tight around the waist, which is fantastic. When you are sitting or moving, they do not roll down. They have plenty of compression around the waist without making you look like a muffin, but the legs and buttocks aren't quite as tight, and they run a little large for compression leggings (I ordered a small and usually wear a 6 women's), so I'd recommend going down a size. They're completely opaque and extremely comfortable. I ended up ordering a second pair, this time in a different color. They come highly recommended from me.
THESE YOGA PANTS ARE AMAZING! They're super comfy and stretchy, which I love. I have a few different colors because I adore them! They've been washed a couple of times and still feel brand new. It's just my preference, but I take them out of the dryer in under 10 minutes. I ordered a Medium and it fits perfectly; I'm 5'2" and weigh 130 pounds. The circumference of the hips is 38 inches.
I'm a petite woman with a tummy, thighs, and booty to show off. I was hesitant to order a medium because of the negative reviews, but after reading them all, I decided to go with it and am glad I did. They have the perfect amount of compression and fit perfectly! It keeps everything in place and looks great on the booty! In addition, the pockets are fantastic! While I jog, they perfectly hold my phone in place. I'm definitely getting a second pair.
these. are. the. They're the best because they're soft, true to size, have just the right amount of compression, and are squat-friendly. I use them for high-intensity cardio because they are waterproof, have nice pockets, and a comfortable waistband. Wear them all day to run errands while doing weight lifting workouts (Beachbody on Demand). I have no trouble keeping them on my waist because, as I previously stated, they are so soft and still moisture-wicking. I'm 5'8" and weigh 135 pounds, so wicking/compressive is ideal. I have four pairs of Lingswallows, two smalls and two mediums, and I honestly can't tell/feel a difference.
Extremely slimming and extremely well-fitting. I'm 5'6" and 140 pounds, so I ordered a medium. Furthermore, unlike other items I purchased, these do not fall down in the backside.
I also like the fact that there are pockets on the sides and a pocket in the waistband; I purchased a medium size. I'm 120- I'm 5'5" and weigh 125 pounds. I find that the medium is a good match for me. They appear to run true to size, but based on how they fit me, I would size up if you're in between sizes and aren't sure. The fabric is described as "no see through," which is a good description for the price. That isn't 100% true at all times. The fabric is a little thin in places - The fabric isn't bad, but don't expect it to be of high quality. I purchased the'spaced dyed white grey' color, and I'm still double-checking that I'm not wearing dark underwear. My skin, on the other hand, does not show through, which is a good thing. Overall, for the price, I'm satisfied with these leggings, but don't expect high-end quality. In general, they're quite good.
The softness of these leggings is incredible! They have pockets on both sides, but they are shallow and are at the bottom of the leg. They stretch, but if you're in between sizes on the size chart, I'd recommend going up a size. I got the pink/plum leggings, which are super cute. They're squat-proof, which is always a plus for larger women. I'll buy it in more colors in the future.
