How Our Score Is Calculated

Product Description

By entering your model number, you can make sure that this fits.
A high weight capacity is possible thanks to the dual anchor points in a wall stud and the floor.
Your wall stud will be less stressed thanks to the dual anchor design. It's perfect for putting up on the wall.
A four-post design allows for a lot of plate storage.
Rather than pulling away from the wall, the angled design leans against it.
With room to spare, each post can hold four of our 45-pound plates.

Questions & Answers

Is it possible to hang this item vertically?

Probably. However, at the bottom, it widens to create a "lean" on the wall. If you hung it horizontally, one end would protrude from the wall more than the other.

Is it possible to use 1" barbell plates? or is it just the two"?

Olympic plates are only 2" in diameter.

Is it possible to only mount it to the wall, rather than the floor? I don't want to go through the trouble of drilling holes in my basement floor. ?

As long as it's attached to a stud on the wall, you're good to go. Even if the bottom isn't mounted, you should be cautious when adding and removing weights. If you don't want to drill the holes, I recommend getting a tree/V rack instead.

Is it possible to hang this on the back wall of a concert venue?

Yes, masonry screws are used. You'll need to purchase those, as well as the drill bit needed to drill pilot holes for the screws, from your local big box store.

It's sturdy, but the slight angle caught me off guard
4/5

This rack has a lot of weight on it. I mounted it on a CBS wall, and I can assure you that it will not be removed. I didn't see the point in putting the floor bolts in, so I just put my foot down on the ground. br>The only thing I didn't expect, which may or may not be a bad thing for some, is that the rack is angled so that the bottom portion is a few inches further away from the wall than the top portion. Because the posts are slightly pointed upwards, this adds to the rack's sturdiness and prevents weights from easily sliding off. I wasn't planning on losing a few inches of real estate in my garage gym, though. This isn't necessarily a bad thing for some, but it is for me. I would have liked it even more if the rack had been flush against the wall from bottom to top, even if the posts would have been perfectly horizontal. However, if you don't mind losing a few inches of space in your gym, I would highly recommend this rack.

This rack appeals to me greatly
5/5

This is fantastic. I purchased two for each side of my rack; it makes a significant difference and saves a lot of space. It also appears to be very neat and tidy. I noticed a few complaints about the screw holes not fitting properly into the studs, which is absolutely correct. I simply cut a piece of wood, hung it on the wall, and then hung the rack on the wood. This is something I would strongly suggest.

I strongly suggest it
5/5

It took some customizing to get this installed in my garage. br>br>I have a non-electric garage. the walls have been drywalled I cut and anchored two support beams between two studs, then bolted one half of the screws to the stud and the other half to the support. Because of the anchors, it will take some creativity to install it properly. Even if you can install it without issue, I recommend going to HD and purchasing a better set of screws. The first one I installed worked perfectly, but the second bolt head twisted off due to excessive torque. There are far too many negative reviews about screws to ignore. Having said that, I stand by this product; it has zero wiggle when loaded to 260 pounds. It feels very solid and is well worth the money; I would buy it again if I used different bolts. For a clean footprint, the bottom anchor intended for the floor was bypassed and mounted in a piece of wood.

Built well, but shipping is a concern, and the bolts could be stronger
4/5

I noticed the paint on it had been slightly damaged (chipped) as soon as it arrived. The wall-mounting part ripped the box and had to have been bumped up against a lot during shipping. This is unfortunate, and I'm still working with Titan to find a solution. br>br>Aside from that, it's well-made and incredibly simple to assemble. It's sturdy, and I don't expect it to give way anytime soon. br>br>The bolts that hold it together are fine, but the anchors for mounting it on a wall when you aren't going straight into a stud are terrible. They were hung on the wall, and when you try to screw them in, they start rotating with the screw. I went to a big box store and bought only toggle anchor bolts. These were much more effective. I wish the rack came with those bolts, but for less than $10, you can ensure a good wall connection. The bolts that go into the floor are similar to the wall bolts in that they don't make much sense. I went out and purchased Tapcom screws, which worked much better for my concrete flooring. br>br>So, to cut a long story short, you'll be able to put it together fairly easily with the bolts provided, but you'll want to spend an extra $10-$15 on the hardware. 12 for better wall bolts, and you'll have a rack that will last a long time, which I love.

It's cheap, stylish, and takes up little room
5/5

Titan Fitness sent me a package two days ago. The package arrived in good condition and was well packaged. For a garage gym, the price-to-value ratio on this item is excellent. In the end, I'm willing to overlook a couple of minor flaws for the price, especially since it'll be holding weight plates and, in my opinion, doesn't need to be perfect. This was simple to assemble, very sturdy, and sits at a good angle, and it comes with all the necessary mounting hardware. This is a nice cheap solution for weight plate storage in a small space because it does not intrude much into the gym space and looks nice. If you're considering purchasing this, I wouldn't hesitate; the shipping was quick, and as always, Titan Fitness offers free shipping. Titan Fitness also sold a 260-pound bumper plate set, which I purchased. This item has a great price point and fast, free shipping. I have no complaints about this purchase.

I found exactly what I needed
5/5

I needed a cheap bumper plate storage solution to keep them off the floor and reduce clutter. These are extremely affordable and, thus far, appear to be excellent. It also appears to be in excellent condition. Because it's only day one, I can't vouch for long-term structural stability. Few people complained that the bolt holes for the screws were too wide to fit a standard stud, which is true; therefore, unless you want to take a chance by just anchoring them in the drywall, I would recommend screwing a board to two studs and then attaching the rack to those.

This plate rack is small but functional
5/5

It gets the job done! I was hesitant to use this in our home gym because I was afraid it wouldn't be able to stand up to the test. With a small footprint, it easily holds all of our 300 pound Olympic plates. There is no need to use the floor bolts in this situation. We didn't want to ruin our floors, so we kept it simple.

It was well worth the money
4/5

In a good way, you get what you pay for. Yes, it isn't the heaviest, yes, the welds aren't the best, yes, the paint is more textured than powder coat, but it isn't $400. Currently mounted on wall, do yourself a favor and span 2 studs for extra support, and ditch the lags that come in the box in favor of deep thread timber locks or washer head GRKs. I'm not sure I'd put a 45lb any higher than the second from the floor, but it's holding up for the time being. It was less expensive than making one out of metal stock or black pipe, plus the time it took to make one AND find an ascetically pleasing way to mount it on the wall. I liked it so much that I bought a second one for the other side of the cage, as well as a third for bumpers.
