Questions & Answers

How big is the pulley system in terms of dimensions?

Ours doesn't have a pulley...

Good day to all! a couple of quick questions 1) What is the lowest pulley's height? up bar? 2) How far apart are each of the pulleys on the horizontal plane? up bar?

I'm not sure how high the bars are (sorry), but I'm 5'8" tall. I can stand with my feet flat on the ground and grab the lowest and middle bars with both hands. I'm on my tiptoes to grab the last pull up bar. Each pull-up bar has an 8-inch space between them.

How much weight has been placed on the rack by other users?

No problem with 500 lbs.

Is it possible to use plates that are one inch thick? Is it possible to get plastic sleeves for 2 inch plates?

YES, you are permitted to do so. The plate storage rods are actually a one-inch pipe with a two-inch adaptor installed on top of it. This is shown in the user manual/assembly instructions on the Sunny website; I have a Sunny rack that is similar. The adaptor sleeves were taken out of the equation. It's not as pretty, but it'll do for one-inch plates.

Selected User Reviews For Sunny Health & Fitness Power Zone Half Rack Heavy Duty Performance Power Cage

Are you on the fence about making a purchase? I was hesitant to purchase this Sunny Health supplement, just like you were
5/5

Because of the lack of reviews, the price, and the unknown brand, I'm going to put your mind at ease and tell you that this half rack is fantastic and well worth the money. Three times a week, I exercise. For the past ten years, I've worked five days a week and recognize good rack when I see it. This half rack is the focal point of my home gym, and it is not only of good quality but also appealing to the eye. This Half Rack was carefully packaged and delivered, ensuring that you receive the half rack exactly as shown in the photos. Expect delivery delays as a result of Covid, but this was already anticipated. The instructions are straightforward and straightforward to follow. I would recommend having at least 1 or 2 people help you put this together because it will go much faster and smoother. Trust me, putting it together by yourself is very tedious. I would advise you to be careful not to lose any of the screws or pieces, as they only provide the exact amount required and no extras. I recommend paying close attention to the instructions manual as well as the various screws that go in specific locations. If anyone is considering buying the attachment, I got the lat cable attachment for this and it works just as well as the half rack. For a more comfortable lat workout, you'll need to purchase silicone lubricant for the attachment pole. You don't have to be hesitant any longer; I strongly advise you to try Sunny Health. Anyone who is starting their own home gym or simply wants a power rack should consider the Fitness Powerzone half rack.

Every penny was well spent
5/5

I was hesitant to purchase this because I wasn't sure about the brand and was concerned that the pull-up bar would be too low. I'm 72 inches tall and 240 pounds. It's tall enough that when I do pull ups, I don't have to lift my feet very high, and it doesn't sway back and forth as I move around on it. I'm extremely pleased with the results. It was fairly simple to assemble, but man, there was a lot of packaging. A LOT! Everything was individually wrapped, which made it easier to keep track of all the pieces, but it was a pain to clean everything up afterwards. This is a product that I would recommend.

Solid as a rock I was familiar with Sunny because I've owned one of their exercise bikes for about 8 years; that thing is built like a tank; I've used it hundreds of times and moved it around my house because it's so sturdy
5/5

It's the same with this half rack/cage; it's just a better deal. Now; I've been lifting weights on and off for about 20 years, mostly when I was in the military, but I'm back and serious now. I don't like going to the gym, I don't like waiting in line for machines, I don't like driving to the gym, I don't like the fees, and I don't like most of the people, but this is a great rack that you can count on. br>Comes in a large box; I assembled it by myself, but took my time; each part is individually wrapped and labeled; instructions are specific and clear; it took me about 4 hours to complete. Although Sunny supplies the open ended wrenches, using an 18mm ratched and open ended wrench was very helpful. br>I did some research on the racks beforehand, and it's important to note that because I lift alone and my weights are getting heavier, I didn't want to behead myself or crush my chest on a final rep to failure. br>With that in mind, I set out to find a sturdy rack on which I could perform my chest presses and squats without injuring myself. I gave X- a second look. Mark (I have some of their equipment) and Rogue, who, if you've ever worked with anyone who builds home gyms, you'll know is all over the place, but I'm not here to take pictures of my home gym and post them on Reddit, I'm here to lift. Rogue has a decent half rack, but all of the important items are optional and expensive add-ons. Spotter Arms are an extra $195, and their monster squat stand really needs the optional half rack conversion kit, which is an extra $255. Then there are the 2" Olympic plate storage arms, which cost $55. 00 each. Even the J-word is used. There are optional upgrades to include rubber inside the hooks (the thing that holds the Olympic bar) so the bar sits better and doesn't clang around and damage the metal that comes standard with the Sunny. The Rogue is made of 3x3 steel, while this rack is made of 2x2, but guess what? They both have the same weight capacity of 1,000 pounds. Now, the Rogue as described above, with optional and much-needed features, will set you back $1090 before taxes, plus shipping, which is estimated to be $225. Now, for a total of $550(ish), this Sunny rack has ALL of those features, plus it ships for free. I recently put the rack through its paces, and one thing I noticed is that the hole placement on the main stand, which accommodates the j-stand, is critical. Hooks and spotter arms are ideal because they clear my chest while still allowing me to do incline presses. If I fail, the spotter arms will hold the weight while I shift out from under the bar. After pressing, I removed the bench and did four sets of pull ups on the high bar (by the way, the Rogue only has one), and guess what, the size of the fat bar is optional with the Rogue (these are fat bars, the Rogue only has skinny). Nothing has disappointed me so far, I'm very happy with this. During pull ups, the rack did not move, it wobbled. Longevity will be determined over time, but if my Sunny stationary bike is any indication, it will last a long time. This is an incredibly well built, well thought out, highly functional, and extreme value for your home gym, and I'll leave you with this quote from Lou Ferrigno:br>"Remember, you muscles don't need fancy equipment to grow. " They will grow bigger and stronger if you give them increasingly heavier loads to lift. Those weights could come from a Sears barbell set, a $25,000 gym machine, or even a suitcase full of rocks.

For the money, this is an amazing looking rack! This setup gets a five out of five
5/5

This is a significant improvement over the smaller Hulk Fitness rack, which was excellent for its purpose. The most obvious reason is that it appears to be badass. I really like the three-tier orange pull bars, which can be used in a variety of ways. In about 45 minutes, you can put the rack together. Hardware is pre-installed and ready to use. It arrived promptly and in excellent condition. It appears to be well-made and sturdy. The only criticism I have is that the pull-up bars are a little slick. I'm still waiting for the lat pull down/seated row attachment to arrive, but I expect it to be just as good. Look no further if you want to add a nice home system to your collection. Don't be hesitant to buy; you will not be disappointed.

Squat Rack of the highest quality! This rack is such a find! I also appreciate the weight storage on the rack, which makes putting plates on and off the bar much easier
4/5

The "safety net" arms and bar height adjustment attachments are great, but the back part is a little thick, which makes it difficult to get back on the rack when doing squats. The only other issue I had was with the product's packaging, which is extremely long, wide, and heavy. The Amazon delivery person deserves a pat on the back.
