No, 45s cannot be worn on both the top and bottom. I have 45s on the bottom and 35s on the top, and they fit perfectly, but there isn't enough room for 45s on both sides.
It's about 16 inches from the top of the top post to the bottom of the bottom post. 5". There is a little more than 14 inches between posts. 5".
If you're in your 45s and they're 17 years old, you're in trouble It can't hold those and 35's above it because it's only 5" in diameter. My 45s are sixteen years old. They're 5" in diameter and only about 1/2" apart from the 35's above them.
I was able to get by with a monkey wrench that was 11/16ths in size.

You should have no problems if you know how to properly arrange your plates. br>br>I'm a physical therapist who also enjoys lifting weights. This is in my home gym, which I use three times a week. I've had no problems with this for the past two years, and none of my plates are rubbing against each other. I believe the rack is large enough to hold all of my plates. Arrangement: br>br> Bottom shelf: Top rack: 4 45lbs per side 4 10s on one side of the top rack, 2 25 lbs on the other 5 pounds and 2 ounces br>5 lbsbr>NOTE: I don't put anything in the middle of the left side. br>br>The CAP 1 inch rack was compared to: br>Instead of the "CAP Barbell Plate Rack, 1-Pack," I'd get this. Black, inch " The one and only The inch one lacks two center stands, which I find useful for small plates (2. 5 lbs. and 5 lbs. , respectively). br>br>Durability: br>br>Affordability: br>br>Afford This rack has a lot of sturdiness to it. After two years of continuous use, I'm writing this review. So far, I haven't had any issues. It isn't swaying in any way. Where the plates are constantly side on, the paint has chipped off. This is fine with me because it is for a gym, not for home decor. Overall: br>br> I would recommend this product; however, the middle rack on the left side should be removed because it is unnecessary. I like how compact it is, and how easy it is to put on and take off the weight. For my garage gym, this is ideal. The foundation is in good condition. I believe I can supplement the rack with additional weights if necessary.
This is a sturdy piece of gear with a solid foundation. I don't have enough weights to test its maximum capacity of 500 pounds, but I'll take it on faith with what I have. Overall, it's a fantastic purchase that's well worth it if you want to keep your weights from rolling around the house. WARNING: br>br> The only reason I gave it four stars is because I was cut by a small chip in the metal frame on the side of the rack as I lifted the object out of the box. I'd ask the company to conduct better physical inspections of the objects, and I'd advise future customers to use gloves when removing it from the box and assembling it. Aside from that, it's a good purchase.
This rack only lasted a few weeks. It snapped right at the weld where the triangle's corners meet near the feet. I don't use my weights in any way that would be considered abusive. However, the fact that this thing broke right at the weld indicates that the weld was poor. I WILL NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT AGAIN OR RECOMMEND IT TO ANYONE.
Some of the required nuts and bolts for assembly were missing from the rack when it arrived. br>br>I contacted CAP and told them about the different types. I needed a certain amount of hardware. A package will arrive in about 8 business days. br>br>In the package, there was an incorrect bolt that protruded too far and could be used to assemble the rack but would dig into the ground. I can't seem to get the rack to fit together. br>br>I reply to CAP with a photo and explain the situation. I show why the new bolt they provided would not work in the picture, as well as how frustrated I was with the whole process. They inform me that a replacement will be sent without any apology. br>br>The new replacement bolt package arrived, and it contains *the same unusable bolt that I highlighted in the photo*. br>br>Shame on me for expecting a usable product from a lesser brand; I've bought a dozen much more complex pieces of gym equipment in the last two years and have never had an experience like this. I strongly advise you to avoid this product, as well as CAP in general.
45 pieces (2 each) a pair of VTX plates 2. a set of VTX plates 45 (2 each) I've got everything on this page without any overlap. It's got 7 pegs, after all. 45, 35, 25, 10, 5, 45, 35, 25, 25, 10, 5, 45, 35, 25, 25, 10, 5, 45, 5 is 6. I'm not sure why people aren't able to fit their plates on this. The only plates that are noticeably bigger than the BFCOs are the VTX 25s. Everything else is the same diameter or close enough that a difference isn't noticeable. On the bottom two, I put 45s (X4) 25's (4X) are hung on the peg side. On the bottom three, 35s (4X) 10s (4X) in the middle of the peg side, Above them, there are 5's (2X). After that, I placed the 5's (4X) on the bottom center peg. the locks on the pegs in the center of the top row. I could have put the 5s on top of the 10s, but it would have been too close. But why bother when there are two center pegs that can easily accommodate small plates? Yes, some brands have a bigger following than others. However, as another reviewer stated, simply adjust them until you find a fit that is comfortable for you. I chose one of the fives over the tens, and it worked out great. It was obvious that it was too near. So I slid the 5s into the bottom center peg right away. So far, everything appears to be in order; it isn't rocket science. & It is durable. a lot of space is saved It makes picking up plates a lot easier. If the 5s don't fit, I don't see why they should be placed above the 10s. It appears that I could even put the 35s on the same side as the 45s, but I don't see the point. The 25s have more space than the 45s, allowing for easier removal and replacement. & The 35's were easy to remove and replace. The tens listed above are not a problem. & They're also a ten! Also, for people with more than four, the bottom center peg appears to be able to accommodate as large as 35's. The remaining pegs have a capacity of 5 people. 6 maximum for 45/35/25, depending on your brand. 5 for these two brands I have, then 3 more tens with these I have, but 8 total if I had all BFCO. There's enough room for a few more 5s. 5's.
When it arrived, it was damaged. br>br>I assume this type of equipment is/was scarce due to the pandemic? At my front door, the package had gaping holes. I knew something was wrong when a bolt fell out of the package when I picked it up. The bolt bag was open and missing hardware when I opened the box, making it appear as if it had been returned. This was purchased for my studio's grand opening and was in short supply - For the opening, plates could not be leaning against the wall or on a rack. To put it together, I went to Home Depot and mixed and matched bolts and nuts. I knew it would be difficult to open a personal training studio during a pandemic, but getting equipment from Amazon hasn't been too bad, so I let it slide. It appears to be holding up well. Because I'm using metal plates, the tree is scraping up, but it's a gym and a plate tree, so. I never overload the tree because I don't max it out. It's sturdy enough that you won't have to be concerned. It's not designed for commercial use, but it's more powerful than what you'd find at home.
