For the price, the quality is poor; one parelette is okay, but the other isn't. The wooden dowel glides from side to side. The rubber grip rotates freely in the hand. As a result, I'll have to reposition my hands. When I use the parelettes, the bad one creeks and cracks, making noises and giving me the impression that it will break while I'm using it, injuring me; the noise also interferes with my concentration; I'm going to try some high-end wood glue to see if that helps. For $43, I would expect a higher level of quality control over their product; I was hoping to fall in love with them. I appreciate you taking the time to read this.
My wrists are racked with arthritis. These enable me to maintain yoga positions that were previously too painful or impossible for me to maintain. If you hold a position for an extended period of time, the foam will gradually slide forward, but I simply turn it around and use it the other way the next time; if the foam were fixed, it would rip from the pressure. I've tried other yoga push-up handles before, but these are by far the most comfortable, stable, and attractive.
This is the second time I'm getting a replacement. The handle on the first par was an issue. A crack began to appear in this pair - See the illustration. I'm under 165 pounds, so keep that in mind. If you don't want to deal with the hassles of returns, I recommend avoiding this product.
My father is a recent amputee, and he uses these push up bars to help him push up and transfer into his wheelchair. They've been extremely useful, particularly the bottom tread that prevents slipping.
They're solid and sturdy, but most importantly, they have a large cushioned grip that feels good in your hands.
I was looking for something similar to these handles. They're thick enough to keep your hands from hurting. They're long enough that your entire hand can fit on the bar. They're high enough off the ground to allow for additional range of motion in pushups, but not so high that they're uncomfortable. They have a substantial weight to them.
These are fantastic, and I'm glad I got them. The grip is also incredibly soft and comfortable.
The bottom is non-slip and has a good grip. The height is also appealing to me. These are what I use for handstands and pushups because they keep my wrists in a neutral position and protect my joints.
