The jogger belt isn't something that I know about, but I do know that I will float above the water if I hold these underwater.

They are true, they really Using the pool water as resistance is what makes them effective, and let me tell you this. . . if you push them under and let them go, you'll get great results, when you let A big Woosh! You get a great workout with them, since I use them for underarm exercises, chest exercises, and even waist exercises, as I hold them down as I go side to side. For water aerobics, I was hoping to find water dumbells to use in my pool. In addition, I was surprised to learn how expensive some of them were, and didn't want to spend a fortune when I wasn't sure how much use I would actually get out of them.
