It has a solid, long-lasting feel to it. The outside grips are identical to dumbbell grips, but the middle portion is more squishy, making it more comfortable to use on your shoulders for squats or on your hips for hip thrusts. - Really nice design (this may or may not be important to everyone, but I'm a designer, so it was a consideration for me).
- The grip is very cushiony, making it extremely comfortable to hold even during long workouts, and it also appears to be quite durable.
- I like how there aren't too many weights to deal with and how simple it is to put them on and take them off.
- The seller lists four weight configurations (5lb, 7lb, 8lb, and 10lb), but you can also do 3lb by flipping the middle weights and simply screwing them on. I appreciated having that option at first because I was just getting started with weights. br>br>Contrary to popular belief, there are a number of disadvantages to using this product.
- Scratches easily, and fingerprints show up well.
- The logo began to rub off after only two weeks. It was annoying and distracting during my workout, so I rubbed the logos off completely. But it's not a big deal to me. br>br>Another thing to keep in mind is that I expected to get the red grip based on the photos for the 10lb dumbbells at the time I bought them, but I got the blue one instead. That was fine with me because I prefer the blue one.

Updated on December 3, 2020: br>I love these because they don't stick or make it difficult to put or remove weights. My neoprene-coated weights have a better comfort grip than these. This is going to be a big hit! br>br>11/10/2020 Update: br>I did want to mention that I emailed the company to see what improvements they made to the weights because I really dislike having four sets of weights when I can just screw on or off weights with less space in my workout room. To cut to the chase, there are spacers between the adjustable weights on both sides, so sticking is no longer a problem. Based on the new design, I can say it's a recommended purchase at this point. During my covid search for weights, I came across similar designs, but none of them have a separation between the weights that will permanently seal them together. Original review: br>br> br>br>In terms of concept, this is fantastic, and it's designed to be as small as a regular non-electric vehicle. Dumbbell that can be adjusted The problem I had with these was that the metal screw ones were made of the same metal as the plastic ones, and mine were permanently stuck. They sent in instructions to loosen up the weights by hitting them with other weights (covering them). This was a fixed 20 pound dumbbell after spending about 30 minutes attempting to break free the weights and their method of hitting weights against each other. At $199. You'd think something so minor would be a non-starter at 99. issue. br>br>At this time, I am returning mine for a complete refund. Hopefully, someone will look into why the screws are sticking in the future. (I understand it's due to the materials, but the company should make it work for the average user without any problems. ).

I read the other reviews about the weights "sticking" and the problems they caused. "I was relieved to discover that inserting plastic rings in between appeared to solve the problem. Unfortunately, the plastic rings that came with my weights are too big, and they don't keep the weights from colliding. I'm disappointed because I liked the look of the weights and the idea of being able to switch between 10 pound, 14 pound, and 16 pound weights. 20LB. Northdeer has been sending me the small rings that go between the weights since my first review. Thank you for your excellent customer service; I adore my weights and appreciate all of your assistance!.

The dumbells are my favorite part of the workout. This is my second set, but this time the rubber rings were missing. They are specifically listed as part of the product, and I shouldn't have to ask for a set of rubber rings for something this expensive. Because there is no way to contact or email the seller, or anyone else for that matter, on the Amazon site, this review appears to be the only way to get any attention. br>br>August 2021br>Received the lost rings.

I like these dumbbells a lot, but they aren't perfect; I also have the Bowflex adjustable dumbbells. There are advantages and disadvantages to both. The construction of the Northdeer dumbbells is something I really like. It's well-made and will most likely last a lifetime; additionally, the size isn't as large as the bowflex (which is my biggest complaint). My only gripe is that switching out the weights takes a long time. You will be disappointed if you expect to change weights during your workout. It's ideal for someone who wants to progress with weights over time, but it's not ideal for changing weights in the middle of a workout. This is where the bowflex comes in handy, as it allows me to change weights in a matter of seconds. Also, I wish it could take more than 20 pounds of weight.

I was unable to remove the screw. As a result, the items were returned for a complete refund. I gave it a bad rating. br>br>06-06-06-06-06-06-06-06-06-06-06-06- FEB- 2021: The seller proactively reached out to me and sent a free pair of dumbbells to try out their fix after figuring out a novel solution to the problem. They added some small rubber bands to the male connections' ends. All of the pieces now screw and unscrew with ease.
