Size discrepancy is a pain. I purchased these because the photo depicted the exact dimensions of the dumbbell's middle section. br>I already own this set of weights, but there is one that is far superior. a little more substantial It irritates me to no end. br>It also means I have to come to a halt. Rather than going until my muscles are tense, I'm going to switch hands. For years, it was fine because I mostly went to the gym and only used them on Oregon. br>However, after a year of frustration, I finally gave in and purchased a proper set of weights. All of my other dumbbells were in perfect condition. My 8-pound set, however, is a different story. br>br>Note: If you're looking for a unique way to express yourself, try using the words "creative I chose 7 pounds instead of 8 pounds because I thought it would be easier on my shoulders. br>I also really liked the YELLOW-colored ones. COLOR GREEN! (honestly, this is the main reason)br>br>The main thing is that I wanted two weights that were exactly the same. HANDGRIP OF THE SAME DIAMETER; WEIGHT IS THE SAME. br>br>THIS SET HAD THE SAME GYM PROBLEM. br>One has a larger diameter and does not taper near the ends like the narrower diameter dumbbell. It feels heavier to me as well. br>br>HOW come they aren't even from the same batch? What are the chances that I had the SAME problem with this one set of weights (over 5 pounds, under 10 pounds) that I had before? And the cost is not insignificant. br>All of my other dumbbell sets are fine. br>I only purchased these to correct an existing mismatch. br>As a result, it's a complete waste of money for me. And a huge disappointment in terms of expectations. br>What used to be a source of joy for me is now a source of resentment. My eagerness to spend money on something I already owned to get rid of a daily annoyance was quickly replaced by disappointment. This is a waste of money. br>br>They'd be perfect if the dumbbells MATCHED. br>I prefer neoprene converted dumbbells. br>I use this type of dumbbell for most of my smaller weights. br>Neoprene is preferable to plastic-coated ones and far superior to bare metal ones.
I suppose I'll just use the heavier one with my weaker hand and my arm strength will eventually balance out, right? LOL.
The VA wanted to put me to the test by giving me an 8-pound weight. As a result, I purchased these weights. I can't use them for my thrice-weekly VA workouts because they're in such bad shape right now. I use the 2 pound size, and hopefully, once my Charles Atlas subscription kicks in, I'll be able to lift these like a pro. They're easy to hold (and less likely to fall on my shin) because of the coating.
These weights are exactly what I need to keep my arm strength up when it's too cold to kayak on the water. There are a number of strengthening exercises that are ideal for the 3 pound weight. The weights arrived in perfect condition, as pictured and described on the website. When placed on a flat surface, the construction is good for my grip, and they do not roll. Because they don't need to be cleaned with my use, I don't have any cleaning experience.
I wish these products were less expensive because I'd buy the entire set. These are fantastic for a workout at home! They're ideal for me to use separately or in combination for various exercises.
My neoprene hand-held weights are extremely comfortable for me. I love the color, and they give me a good workout.
Holding it is pleasant. I began with two pounds and now have five and eight pounds. It's ideal for my YouTube workouts at home.
