Before taking the plunge and purchasing this, I read a lot of reviews. The big question in the reviews is whether it stinks so bad that it can't be used. The solution is as follows: The dumbells come in a plastic bag that is well-protected. Yes, they do have a new tire smell to them at first. However, after a few days, the odor goes away. They no longer smell after I removed the plastic. Yes, you can smell the rubber if you place your nose right on top of it. However, it is nothing like the odor that fills a room. In the room with the dumbells, you can't smell it at all. br>br>And these are high-quality dumbbells that are well-made. I strongly advise you to purchase them.

One of the participants was 49 years old. 3 lbs, and the rest are 48 lbs. 5 lbs (each weighing nearly 1 pound less, and neither weighing more than 50 lbs). I received a replacement pair from Amazon a few days ago, one of which was worth $50. 3 lbs, and the rest are 49 lbs. 4 lbs (almost a pound difference, but still close to 50 lbs). I got a single dumbbell (not a pair, as I had hoped) today that weighed 49 pounds. 1 lbs. As for me, it's a no-brainer. You get three strikes and you're out, so everything will be returned for a refund, and I'll look for something else to buy. br>br>Other Amazon Basics dumbbells (15-pound) have been purchased as well. I weighed 25 pounds and had no problems - They were both the same weight and were either exact or within a few tenths of a pound of the correct weight. At least with the 50 pound dumbbells, there appears to be a significant quality control issue!.

I really like these dumbbells, but I felt cheated because I only got one dumbbell with three weights instead of three pairs. I believe they are usually sold in pairs, so the fact that these are not sold in pairs strikes me as odd. The fact that there is only one dumbbell should be highlighted. I placed one order, received one, waited a day for the other, and then realized I only got one and had to place another order. That is my only criticism.

Yes, it smells like rubber at first, but that quickly fades. Is it true that a large number of reviewers were enraged by this? I use it several times a week and have never had any problems with it!.

It's not made of solid cast iron. Instead of 50 pounds, you should weigh 49 pounds.

They work well as weights. outdoors. When I first opened them, the plastic smell was very strong. I went online in search of answers. Vinegar was used to soak the plastic ends. For 6 days, they were left outside. They have not lost their odor. I brought them inside, and the odor drove me out of the gym after 15 minutes. They've returned to the open air again.

These weights are of excellent quality, with a comfortable grip. During shipping, there is an "oil" on the rubber that gets on the grip. I used greased lightning to remove the oil, then wiped them down with water before drying them. This got rid of all of the oil and odors from the manufacturing process. The odor lingered in my workout room for a few days, but it faded after about two weeks. To complete my weight bench set, I'll purchase additional AmazonBasics weights. They are excellent value for money and far less expensive than any name-brand weight.
