In addition to using this belt at carnivals, festivals, amusement parks, soccer games, and daily workouts, we've also used it on daily runs. The belt has taken quite a bit of abuse, so the zipper has been abused as well. I'm pleased to report that the belt still looks as good as the day I was first given it! No sign of wear can be seen on the zipper. There are no signs of fraying or snagging in the material. In addition, the reflective material has stayed in place (unlike on some other belts I've ordered, where it literally peeled off).
