I bought myself a pair of trail NB running shoes. I'm going to take a women's class. I ordered a women's shoe size and they fit perfectly; I believe they are designed for women, not children. I hope this has been of assistance.
The light gray/black/mint colorway is one of my favorites. I removed the insole and replaced it with a higher arch insole because I require a high arch. I like how they feel and look, but after about 5 months of 5 days a week exercise classes, the mesh on the inside of the foot wore away where the two plastic strips are located. If you look at the inside of the foot (opposite of the N), you'll notice that there's about an eighth of an inch of mesh between the plastic around the laces and the plastic on the shoe's toe. I hope you find this helpful. I'd like to buy another pair, but a hole wears out in 5 months, and it's very noticeable and unsightly.
No, they aren't gender-neutral. The sizes are vastly different, and the men's shoe lacks the same amount of cushioning in the sole as the women's shoe. kathya

These are, like all New Balance shoes, a fantastic pair of shoes. To fit my swollen post-surgery foot (I'm 2 feet tall), I ordered a size up. These shoes are comfortable right out of the box (5 months after bunion surgery)br> even on my post-surgery foot, which is extremely sensitive. The only flaw in these otherwise perfect shoes is that they sit a little too high on my ankle. As a result, the shoe rubs against my round ankle bone (called the lateral malleolus by science nerds). Wearing ankle-length socks will help to prevent rubbing. However, if you prefer a no-show sock look, this could be an issue. I've only had the shoes for a few weeks, so the rubbing may go away with time; I was concerned that the light gray would get dirty, which it did. but they clean 100% with one wash machine trip. I put them in a lingerie bag in the wash and then let them air dry. br>br>Because they're breathable, your feet won't sweat. I wore these for a 13-hour nursing shift the other day (which included a lot of walking) and they kept me comfortable the entire time. br>br>My foot surgeon recommended this shoe because it is very supportive. They have feathers on their bodies. The sole is strong yet flexible, and the shoe is light. allowing complete freedom of movement of the feet My normal/non-slip shoes don't slip at all. Surgical foot, despite the fact that I ordered a full size up. br>br>A word about the color scheme. I bought two pairs of shoes. Gray and black are two colors that go well together. The gray won out over the black in my opinion. Online, the black appears swanky, but in person, it appears to be nerdy. They're a little too dark. They appear to be from a low-cost uniform catalog. They reminded me of the black 'crew shoes' I used to wear when I worked in restaurants.
I'm a nurse, so I walk about 6 miles per 12 hour shift, and these shoes were extremely comfortable the entire time I wore them for three days. They aren't "flimsy" in the sides/back like some other shoes; they have some sturdiness, which I like; I have high arches and wide feet, and these hold up well. They are true to size, and my patients love the bright colors (I got the black, but I may get the grey later)! The only drawback is that one of the shoes' insoles (which are removable) started slipping backwards. It wasn't painful to walk on, but it was awkward, so I removed my shoe and reset it, but it happened again a short time later. It won't stop me from wearing or recommending them, but for my next shift, I'll either glue them in or get some new insoles. I would definitely recommend this shoe to anyone looking for a comfortable walking/running shoe at a reasonable price.
This brand is beneficial to my feet. br>I walk dogs every day, and I walk 12,000 to 14,000 dogs per day. 20,000 steps, to be exact. br>I have difficult-to-fit feet with a high arch, and this brand of shoes always fits.
The sole is supportive. br>br>The only flaw is that sweaty toes stain the fabric in the toe area where the thin plastic layer covers the fabric.
I'm not talking about the sole; I'm referring to the tongue, collar, and other parts of the shoe, which have very little padding. I'm a size 11 and they're snug but not too tight on me. My ankle bones were rubbing against the front collar, which was a problem. It would be fine if there were more padding, but it rubs excessively. I believe I'm going to have to go back. They don't have a lot of padding, which is surprising. br>br>When I compared them to the Nitrel v3 trail runners, I noticed that the Nitrel has a lot more padding. With a more aggressive tread and thicker mesh fabric over the toe box, the Nitrel is a heavier-duty trail running shoe. This shoe is a cross between a running shoe and an all-terrain shoe. This is excellent for allowing air to circulate. For roads, I prefer the tread because it feels more stable than a lugged sole with more aggressive lugs. br>br>I'd also like to point out that the black doesn't appear to be as cool in person. The laces are what make it look so cool and unique, but lavender or light blue accent laces would be a better choice. If you need arch support, look for separate insoles or go with a different shoe. There isn't a lot to see. Finally, because the insoles are removable and fairly wide, they DO fit my full-length (size 10) birkenstock insoles. That's fantastic! The majority of athletic footwear does not have this feature.
I didn't have to wait a week to "break in" my new shoes. They are available in a variety of styles, making them even more comfortable and less restrictive on my foot. They have a great grip and a cute style. br>I stand for 8 hours at a hotel front desk and my back doesn't hurt! I would give it a 10/10.
I've been doing this for more than 15 years now. I'm a 7-year-old girl. Always use the number 5! These had to be at least a half-size larger. The shoe itself was nice, but there wasn't much cushion. I run nearly three miles every day, and I rely on them to keep me going. I was going to try to keep them because they were exactly what I was looking for, but I decided it wasn't the best option. I had to return them because they were not true to size.
They're excellent running shoes. Normally, I have problems with my ball of foot, but these sneakers have been fantastic and have caused no discomfort.
