There were complaints that these were much bigger than they should be. The only thing that I found to be a bit large in mine was the length. Some comments mention outrageous things, but this is not true. My height is 5 7 and my weight is 180 lbs. At 185 pounds, I am somewhat muscular and carry my weight in my hips and stomach. The black color is in a size large for me. I thought that the shorts would be longer but I was wrong, they're actually shorter than I expected.
The shorts come with only a thin little string built into the waistline to tighten if needed, but I don't like the fact that they come with such a thin string. As far as size goes, these are a bit large. Because I kickbox and jump high, a higher waist is more comfortable for me It stays put when you wear shorts. The string starts to slip down on me even when the exercise is strenuous (even with the strings left untied). These are the only things I will keep since they are cute and I can use them for just relaxing. It is hard to believe that a top-rated company couldn't do better It is a brand. I'm 5'7 and 170 pounds and got a size medium, if that is of any help to you.
