One of my friends recently bought me one in white and it's great! As for the fabric, it is thin and light, but without being see through. If I could, I would include a picture in this comment just to show how the fabric looks in person =).
Due to their return, I am not able to give an exact measurement. The only thing is, my SAT score is a bit low This was a torso-length piece, cutting right at the hip bone, about 3 inches below the waist.

A small fits soooooo well and I'm so glad I ordered it Of course I wear a 32" B cup. I'm 5"4 and 120 pounds, so I have small boobs. I am wearing a size small, and it fits perfectly around my boobs. I like it even though the bottom isn't fitted. It's breezy but I like it! Not fitting from the bottom of the shirt is OK with me If it were tighter at the top, I would have preferred it, but it's fine as long as it's not all the time. Since I'm going to be sweating a lot at the gym, I think the material is kind of itchy, but it works for me. My belly button is 28 inches (which does not matter since it is not fitted from the bottom, as you can see in the photo I'm holding it to show you how baggy it is from the bottom) , my waist is 27 inches, and I am between 31 and 32 inches tall. I am 34 inches long around my bust (boobs), around my arm is 9 inches long. It is about 5 inches long. The following measurements may help you figure out where you should fit. If they had extra small, I'd have gotten that instead, but a size small works fine too.
