Clearly, whoever sold this to Amazon has no knowledge of technical outdoor clothing. It's clear that this is a base layer, not a jacket. That said, it's a great base layer, with a half-zip that allows heat to escape when you're snowshoeing, skiing, hiking, or doing anything else in the winter or winter-like weather. The fit is spot on. I have turtlenecks and scoop necks made of the same material, and they provide a thin warm layer of stretchy material from Terramar called Climasense. These are some of my favorite things. The only reason for a four-star rating is because of the misleading advertising. It's obvious that this is a base layer rather than a jacket. The person who wrote the ad for this product most likely did not even open the package, but saw a zipper and assumed it was a jacket.
For me, this shirt has the feel of a compression shirt. I like the stitching around the shoulders, and the length is just right. It's soft, brushed, stretchy, and provides a lot of support. For a stretchy, snug fit, I went down a size. It's great as a base layer or on its own. I'm going to order some more. The fact that the shirt is made of recycled polyester is the only thing that has me on the fence.
