The shoe is well made; they are a little big on me, but I don't think going a half size down would make them more comfortable. They appear chunky to me, but everyone else thinks they're fantastic. In terms of performance, I feel more stable in them than I do in my converse. I like the top strap, and for my first pair of lifting shoes, it was a good investment. People with narrow feet should avoid this product.
I'm not sure how I ever managed to wear Converse before! These Adidas make you feel very stable and sturdy, but they're still comfortable enough to wear around the gym when you're not doing squats or deadlifts (though they're not comfortable for walking). I bought the men's 4 in black at first. That pair, however, was returned because it was a little too tight. I'm about a size 6 or 6 in women's clothing. I chose the 4 because the 5 was in men's sizes and I thought they would be roomier. I should've chosen number four. I was expecting a size 5 (I usually wear a 6 when a company only offers whole sizes, and a 6 when they offer half sizes). 5). I bought these when I exchanged them and received a 6. 5 and then I started to wonder if they were a little too big. I figured the sizing would be the same, so I kept them and they're still my favorites. I'm thinking about going with number four. However, I'll give it a 5 next time I need a new pair just to see what happens.
Lifting shoes that are both cute and functional. Lifting in these shoes gives me a sense of security. They do attract dirt, so a good scotch guard application is essential!.
Squatting and deadlifting shoes that are extremely comfortable, have a great color combination, and are true to size. I'm very happy!.
Because the shoes were filthy when they arrived, I deducted one star. Aside from that, it's a fantastic shoe. They're much more comfortable to lift in than my chucks. The extra elevation aids in stabilization and allows you to squat deeper. I'd buy them again, hoping for a clean pair this time.
Squats are a breeze with this one. The color is fantastic. They're great for squat form, and they have velcro straps to help tighten them up.
The only thing I didn't care for were the shoelaces, which were a little short and couldn't be laced tight enough due to the flat material. I had to go out and purchase additional shoelaces.
It's also very flat, which makes it ideal for lifting. However, it's a hard shoe. In running shoes, I wear an 8, and in this shoe, I wear a 7.
