Questions & Answers
There are three models to choose from: Classic, Plus, and miniMAXbr>br>The Classic Gymboss can time one or two intervals and then repeat/cycle through them. If you only need one or two intervals and will be using it indoors, this model is the one to go with. Interval training, a tabata program, or weightlifting rest timing are all excellent examples of how this model can be put to use. Setup is simple with this model. br>br>The Plus model is identical to the Classic model described above, with the exception that it has a louder beep and is more water resistant. If you're going to use it outside, this is the one to go with; it's ideal for runners, especially those who will be running in the rain or in humid environments. It's also as simple to set up as the Classic. br>br>With the miniMAX model, you can time up to 25 different intervals and repeat them individually or in groups within the sequence. Up to 20 programs can be saved for future use on the miniMAX. The Classic and Plus models do not allow you to save programs. The miniMAX is designed for people who do interval workouts with a wide range of interval times, such as advanced HIIT workouts. The miniMAX allows you to do a lot more, but it's a little more difficult to set up at first. You will never have a problem setting it up once you "get it," as it were.
I believe an interval can be set up to 99 minutes, so if you set both intervals to 60 minutes for however many hours (rounds) you want it to go, I believe you can set it to go off every hour.
The miniMAX model is required if you need to save more than two different intervals. You can store up to 25 different intervals in a program using the miniMAX model.
Yes, this is the same timer as before. We also make a Jeff Galloway timer, which is identical to this timer but is colored differently. It's simple to change this to two: 00, 1:
Selected User Reviews For Gymboss Interval Timer and Stopwatch - Teal / Blue Metallic Gloss
Throughout time. For the past ten years, I've taught exercise classes. My gymboss timers were fantastic when I first started using them. They've gotten worse over time, so I've experimented with a variety of different brands. The Gymboss timer has a lot of useful features. The last three have been terrible and defective, and I was too busy to return, so I missed the deadlines. This one, specifically - The beeper isn't working right now. If the numbers are arranged in a circular pattern. The previous two ones I bought a couple of years ago had a very low beep volume. Years ago, the gymboss timers were the best, and I'm sure I purchased at least ten of them. With this one, I figured I'd give them another chance. It did not work out. During the first two weeks, I should have returned it because I knew it was defective. They must restore their previous level of excellence.
I train for marathons with a group of friends on the beach in Santa Monica. We run for four minutes, walk for one minute, and repeat these intervals until we reach the finish line, following the Jeff Galloway method. The Gymboss beeps once every four minutes and once every one minute in interval mode, indicating when to run and when to walk. It's easy to set up, and the beep is loud enough that we don't forget to take a walk break. Jeff Galloway was using a Gymboss to track his intervals when I ran with him a few months ago. So I bought one, and I'm quite pleased with it.
This one is mediocre, just like the old Gym Boss timers. It performs admirably. There are so many different settings on the alarm that you'll be able to find one that works for you. The numbers are easy to read, and using the stopwatch and timer functions is sufficient. The lack of customizability in terms of interval times is my only issue with it. There are only two interval times that you can choose from. This timer cannot, for example, be used to perform two 30-second plyometric exercises followed by a 45-second rest. I could do a 30-second exercise followed by a 45-second rest period. When I try to do some interval training, such as with the heavy rope, this is inconvenient. I'll do one minute of each of five different exercises with my rope, then take a three-minute break. To do this, I'd like to use the timer: One minute, beep, one minute, beep, one minute, beep, one minute, beep, one minute, beep, one minute, beep, one minute, beep, one minute, beep, one minute, beep, one minute, beep, one minute, beep, one minute, beep, one minute, beep, But I'm afraid I won't be able to do so. Instead, I'll have to program it for infinite 1 minute intervals, then count the three minutes when it's time to rest. The point is that each "round" of HIIT training can only have two different times, and I wish this product allowed for more variation.
This product takes the place of the high-priced motivational pagers used in behavior modification. I've discovered that they perform the same function and that I can usually find them for $15 or less. I've sent this link to a lot of people who are grateful to have a lightweight, user-friendly, and inexpensive alternative.
I add to the excitement by timing myself with the GymBoss timer and imagining that I'm on a mission to build some incredible machine or concoction to save the planet from alien invaders, but I only have a certain amount of time to complete it before the aliens take over. I do the same thing when I'm on the toilet. Fun!.
It's just that I wish there was a way to attach a strap. The clip allows it to be attached to a belt or pants, but I've misplaced a few of them by tossing them in my bag or dropping them. I think I'd be able to hold on to it better if it had a strap attached to it. However, it's most likely just me.
However, these items are extremely fragile, and they will not absorb any water, rain, or even sweat. You can protect yourself by running with a plastic baggie, but you can't get them wet. Furthermore, you are unable to drop them in any way. The item is simply too fragile to be used. It would be fantastic if someone could come up with a heavy-duty, waterproof timer like this!.
Edit: I'll summarize by saying it works well but has issues. br>br>I'll summarize by saying it works well but has issues. br>br>I'll conclude by saying it works well but has problems. br>br>I'll summarize by saying it works well but There are a few steps to setting up, but they are simple. Even with a brand new Energizer battery, the unit's vibrate does not work. I'm in the process of finding a replacement with the help of the company. It's been only 12 hours since I got the item. If everything eventually works, the product is a success.
