Mine has been in my possession for nearly two years and is still going strong.
I haven't needed to change the battery yet because I've only had it for 8 months. The back of the watch appears to be pried off with a thin screwdriver or perhaps a butter knife, and it's a tough watch to remove. Mine is one of my favorites.
I couldn't get mine to work, either, and the company didn't respond.
There isn't any light inside.

It's a good solid watch, but as a previous Dakota buyer, I was disappointed. The loop is smaller, making it difficult to place and remove on certain straps and rings. The small silver badge on the front fell off and was lost in the first 24 hours of wear, which doesn't affect function but does create an eye sore. However, it appears to be accurate and functional.
I was sick of being tanned. line from wearing a wristwatch, so I began wearing it around my belt until I came across this watch, which I clip to my belt loop. It's a fantastic product that's also extremely durable. I haven't had any problems with it, except that I'm still learning how to use it because the buttons are different from those on my wristwatch, and it doesn't have any "chirp" options, unless I'm missing something. However, you will receive exactly what you see here. I recommend this product if you need a watch that can be clipped to something.
I've only had this watch for a short time, but so far I'm very pleased with it. It's an attractive timepiece. It's a bit heavy for its size, but that's a testament to its durability.
I like that I don't have to wear a watch, and the quality is excellent. I'm currently working on the second. On the first one, I shattered the crystal. For work, I still use the old one with a broken piece of glass.
This watch has a nice weight and thickness to it, it's sturdy and attractive, and it keeps good time. Thank you once again for a fantastic product.
Though I am not a fan of traditional wrist watches, I needed a watch for work. This watch is not only well-made, but it is also easy to read and displays all of the date and time information you require.
You are free to do whatever you want with your hands while the watch remains unaffected. You'll never have to look for it again, and it's simple to get to. The only time I've had a problem with it is when I've forgotten it twice. I had no idea how much I had been using it. When your life revolves around time, especially at work, you need a tough timepiece that you can carry with you at all times.
