It is my opinion that a pedometer does not measure your stride properly if it does not permit you to enter it (I find those to be inaccurate). There are seven days of data on this server. At midnight each night, it is automatically reset. Although there is some "lag," it is not too bad. Since I bought two of these units two years ago, I have two more to go. As long as the original battery is still in good condition, they work fine. The problems started as soon as I put a brand new battery into it. Keeping that in mind, I put a much more carefully inspected battery in the device. One common problem I've encountered with both is that the units reset themselves randomly, and you have to start over It must be set to the initial parameters before the step count will begin As a matter of fact, I just returned from a walk and realized that I have to rewrite Start the computer THREE times by entering the startup parameters. The photo dates back to I had run out of battery! The quality has not been tested by me yet, but since someone else retuned it in 2014, I am not very optimistic about it. This has disappointed me greatly.
There is ample chance for it to slip off after a long time, but it has never done so. There is a hole for carrying on a string if you'd like, and the design makes it impossible to push any buttons accidentally. The time will automatically reset each day if the time is set on it. My recommendation is to try it out.
