This model is discontinued/no longer produced, so I assume that's why it's no longer available. There are still people that love this one and there is a demand for it, so the people selling it know this and have marked it up in price. The ones left out there that are for sale are marked up quite a bit, and I wish I'd paid less than $50 for mine.
