The pants are large enough to fit both my boys. A size 13 and a size 4 shoe are worn by each.
Socks fit my son, who is a bit larger than average and on the smaller side.
There are TWO pairs of socks here. He was six years old and they cut right below his knees on his calves.
We have a 3 year old son and he wears a 9 Toddler, so these are big, but not super so, so I would rule out the XS.

Our order for more was just placed. This pair of socks maintains its shape and keeps its softness. They are the only socks we order for two kids with special needs who require longer socks with.
My daughter is five years old and I ordered a size XS. Her legs were almost covered when she first started washing, but after a few times, her knees were exposed.
There was a lot of value here. I did not find that they felt stiffer or more difficult to get on after washing. This purple uniform accessory was just right for him, and the price was right as well.
It is the perfect fit for my short legged 8 year old, and at a significantly better price than Dick's Sportswear.
