Make it as large as possible and don't pad it

I am not sure what size is correct for my almost 6-year-old. This is more like a kids size 8 if I had to guess. The shorts do not have any padding, so the description is not accurate. As long as it is for the cup that he is wearing under his normal underwear, we kept it.
