After several failed attempts, I finally decided to buy this brand, and I couldn't be happier! For my daily aerobics class, it's ideal. The tread makes me feel very secure and the size of the step allows me to take confident steps with no shifting. br>*For reference, I'm wearing a size 7 1/2 shoe.

If you don't have carpet, don't buy this. I have to constantly pull it back because it slides on my floor. Then I noticed that my floors were scratched as a result of all the scratching. Because the risers are made of the same sliding material, I'm hesitant to install them.

br>There is an indentation down the middle, as mentioned by other reviewers. It's a smaller board (5"), which I noticed during my third workout. It won't last long if you use it a lot. br>This isn't the same step you'd do in the gym. It appears to be one, but a second look reveals that it isn't. Please accept my sincere apologies.

I am a workout junkie who enjoys working out and rarely skips a day. I go to a great gym, but I prefer to work out at home before work, and I have around 200 DVDs (plus I do a lot of YouTube workouts). I like to keep things interesting, so I dug out my old Gold's Gym step and started doing step workouts again. My old step was far superior to taking none at all, but I had to be very careful with my footwork because the "target" was quite small. " My gym has the same "full size" step, so I'm used to it, and being able to use one at home with my own workout videos is a dream come true. " awesome! I went with the teal one (I like the color and it brightens up my "gym") and added the DVD option. It appeals to me. I'm also pleased to learn that Cathe Friedrich is the trainer on the DVD, which includes a beginner/intermediate workout as well as an intermediate/advanced workout. I haven't used it yet, but I have seen it in action and plan to do so soon. I also enjoy using YouTube videos for my step workouts because I find it difficult to find the type of step DVDs that I enjoy. This is a lovely piece of equipment that is solid and made in the United States, and I wholeheartedly recommend it.

I just got this in the mail today - I was debating between the full / gym club size (43 inch length) and the smaller footprint size, and I'm glad I went with this size because the longer length ensures I'll be able to do some of the more modern routines shown on YouTube once I get more practice. br>I also liked that it came with two risers so I can adapt later. br>Security: The surface is textured and tacky, so you won't slip when stepping on it. On carpet, the stepper's bottom does not squeak at all. When you put weight on the center, it does not bow.

Maybe it's because I'm biased, but the original Step was SO MUCH BETTER! These aren't as good as they once were. In the 1990s, my father gave me a Step, which he gave to me when I was a young adult. . . but it got lost somewhere along the way as I moved around in my 20s. The Step, in my memory, was extremely sturdy; it never squeaked or flexed in any way. The glued-to-the-top "mat" was a solid piece of plastic that never flexed. br>br>I was ecstatic to discover that this item was still available, and I placed an order right away! I unboxed it and realized right away that this item is NOTHING like it used to be in terms of quality. It squeaks and flexes, and it's far from being as solid as its forefather. Yes, it's still usable. . . but it's not the long-lasting piece of equipment I expected to purchase. I'm guessing it'll take a year for the mat to rip. . . what a bummer.

I was concerned that I would need to purchase the more expensive version, but I am delighted to report that I believe this is ideal and of excellent quality. It's sturdy and stable enough for at-home HIIT workouts, as well as comfortable enough to lie down on and lift weights on. It's the same height and size as the YMCA bench I used in classes, and it's textured so you can keep your grip when doing push-ups. Push-ups from the bench This is one I'm glad I got.
