I always feel silly buying winter gear because my climate has about 3 weeks of below 50° F weather, but a vest seemed perfect! We had snow and power outages for the first time in about 30 years, and this vest really helped me keep my core warm while still feeling mobile and not like a marshmallow inside my house! If you're new to winter as well, I can attest to the fact that this vest is fantastic! It's also very lightweight, and the zipper functions normally! The contrast color was also appealing! br>I'm a girl who doesn't have a lot of hips or butt, and I have a bit of a belly, so if you're very curvy, I'd buy based on the hip measurement! It's just an idea.
To accommodate my chest, I ordered an XL vest and a hybrid running jacket to replace some older gear that I use for winter hiking and other outdoor activities. Today, they both arrived. First and foremost, let me express my gratitude for the excellent quality of both the vest and the jacket. The vest is a lovely bright pink color. For typical outdoor activities, it is neither too bulky nor too thin. I like that it's a little longer than most similar vests, but it doesn't quite reach my backside (I'm 5'1''). The side pockets are large and zippered. The zippers all appear to be of high quality. Now I've arrived at the crux of the matter, which is a huge letdown. I couldn't close it or even get the two sides of the zipper to touch, whereas the jacket from the same brand was much roomier and I was able to close it. I understand that these are two different items with different cuts, but there was a significant difference between them. I have other vests in sizes L and XL that I can close, so the sizing of this one appears to be off. I'm so disappointed to have to return this item because I adore it in every other way and it's only available in XL sizes.
It was far too wide around the waist, forming a parachute that did nothing to keep the body warm. Not a baggy, loose-fitting plastic bag, but a fitted vest. I ordered a Small, which I always wear at 5'4" and 136 pounds. Perhaps an XS would work for me, but I wasn't impressed with the quality and didn't want to try a smaller size because it felt stiff and uncomfortable to run in.
It's form-fitting, but not overly so. I bought it to wear under a lightweight puffer jacket from Little Donkey Andy (size M) that folds up into a small sack when the weather gets cold in New England. I like the bottom around the hip area because it keeps the cold out and makes it look stylish so it's not just a hiking or running vest. It's a little stiff at first but I'm sure it will loosen up with wear. The gray color matches the advertisement perfectly. So far, I've been happy with everything I've bought from this company.
This vest didn't live up to my expectations; it was too stiff. ran on the small side. I had hoped that the back would be better than the front. The lower half was supposed to be more stretchy, but it's actually a very stiff "soft shell" material. Go for it if that's your goal. It wasn't the right fit for me at all. This brand makes a lightweight jacket that I wear while running. It does not fit at all.
This is a stunning vest with lovely color combinations throughout the line (take a look at them all. ) ) It's a stunning piece of work. It's very relaxing. In my opinion, it's a total slam dunk. I'm a designer, so I pay attention to details, and there's not much out there with as nice detailing as this, especially for the price, so I'm thinking about getting more colors.
I had been looking for a light vest for a long time before I came across this one. I'm very pleased with this one; it's sturdy, comfortable, and has just enough give where it's needed, as well as a flattering fit. It's just the right amount of coziness. For more coverage, it sits slightly lower on the hips. It's great that I can dress it up or down with it.
It's absolutely incredible.
