Thick and well cushioned, these are extremely comfortable. Even without shoes, they can make it down the driveway many times. Although it may not be a good idea to expose socks without shoes to abrasive surfaces outside the house.
I think the style now is shorts and long socks but adding some spice to them with your own touch

I wear a 13 wide shoe, and my socks have to be longer. There have been a few quality athletic or heavy duty socks in long length that are hard to find. My experience with gold toe white socks was good, so a few months ago I decided to purchase black gold socks, which I liked with extended sleeves. Since these Adidas are available in extended length and have good reviews, I thought I would order them. The shoes are a bit stiff, and they aren't very cushioned. You may find this pair of socks to be quite suitable if you have a very long foot (size 12 maybe), and a very skinny calf, plus you like socks made of a very thin fabric. Adidas socks have never caused me any problems in the past. My mind is blown by how they came up with a foot section that is so long and skinny in the leg section. A significant difference can be seen in the thickness of these socks. It will be better to purchase at a local store next time so that I can verify the material is the same.
