I found both the inside and outside to be very comfortable. The two bags I bought from two different companies were of higher quality and had better pockets on the front and back. As a matter of fact, I wore these almost every day of our trip, and for the first time in a very long time, I did not have any rash issues. They dry really quickly, so you can swim in them and then continue wearing them. They were really nice over all, except for the fact that they should have been a little longer on the legs.
