In most jeans and pants, I wear a 32" and prefer a slim to skinny fit. I usually wear a size small or medium in gym and workout shorts. This was also the case with these shorts. I preferred the small because it highlighted the shape of my bum rather than being too baggy. The leg opening is also suitable for small to medium-sized legs. The fit isn't too baggy or loose, but it's far from slim. Overall, it felt like a high-quality product, with excellent materials. I eventually decided to return them simply because I wasn't impressed with them for the price of $30. They're fine; I probably would have kept them for a lower price, but I'd still recommend them.
I'm 6'3" and weigh around 212 pounds, and the size large fits me perfectly; they're not too baggy and sit just above my knee. I mostly do weightlifting with a barbell, and these are great for mobility (not getting in the way or pulling on your knees when squatting), they look great (I don't have huge legs, but I do have muscular thighs from squatting, and they have a nice athletic fit that accentuates this, but they're not super short like runners shorts or some of the bodybuilding shorts you'll see on here), and they're also great for running for the same reasons br>br>They also don't have a liner, which can be a pro or con depending on your needs; however, I usually find that liners are hit or miss, so this allows me to wear a comfortable pair of boxer briefs for support, and the zippered pockets are also great, as they allow me to just toss my key in there when I go for a run. br>br>The only thing I can think of to improve it is to add some metal eyelets to the drawstring area, as I can definitely see the waistband tearing if you pull it too tight. In addition, I believe that a reflective logo or a small reflective detail would be beneficial to runners in terms of increased visibility. br>br>Overall, these are fantastic shorts, and I plan to order a few more pairs so that I can use them for my workouts throughout the week.
These are highly recommended. In the gym, I prefer shorter, more fitted shorts over baggy basketball shorts. For a long time, running shorts were my only choice, but I wanted to branch out. I liked these Anthem Hyperflex 5" so much that I bought another pair after six weeks of wearing them. And I'll be buying more in the coming months. They hit me in the lower third of my thigh when I'm 5'10" and wearing the Large. They are equally adept at functional training and long cardio. The narrow side pockets are designed to hold phones, and my Note 10 with case fits perfectly in them. A wallet, ID, or small key ring is a little more difficult to get to. I'm pretty good at using the zipper with one hand.
I've spent most of my life working out and am very particular about my gym shorts. I'm 5'6", and these are just right for me! I ordered five, and when they arrived, I went back and ordered three more. My I-phone fits perfectly in the pocket. phone (which is in a case) and it sits comfortably on the side of my leg, out of the way. I've looked everywhere for the perfect short that's good quality, doesn't go past my knees, and isn't too expensive. That concludes the discussion.
For my height (size large), those shorts are a good fit. They sit above the knee, with a 29" inseam, and the styling is cool, but the material is strange; it feels more like a cheap pajama short, and it clings to my thighs in an odd way. I believe they would be better if they were made of a thinner, more tightly woven material. They're also unusually soft for a man's underwear. I'm not getting a sense of sturdiness from this. After the first wash, I wouldn't be surprised if they began to pill.
I'm 60 and still fit and active, but not as fit and active as I was 10 years ago. I've always worn mediums, so I went with large for the "China size syndrome" and am satisfied. The short is short in the way that shorts should be, but not so short that my stuff spills out like it did in my old UDT trunks. I suppose if I had a phone, it would fit in the pockets on both sides of my hips. I don't carry much in my pockets because I always have a bag with me. Because, you know, it's just a fact. I can run (hobble), walk, surf, and swim in them; they dry quickly, but not as quickly as a pair of surf trunks. I just ordered a few more because the cut appeals to me. Could you just make a solid OD color for us old timers if you're reading Anthem folks?.
To begin, I'll say that the overall product is quite nice, but $30 is a bit pricey when compared to similar Under Armour or New Balance shorts, and you can tell that they're made quite cheaply because there's no tag inside the shorts besides a size tag ("S" "M" "L" etc. ). There are no instructions on how to take care of the item, for example. The material is comfortable, but after about a month or two, it starts to get wavy/stretched out; I've had a polo made of this blend, and it starts to get wavy/stretched out after about a month or two; Slim fit is no longer an option. If they were priced at $18, I'd buy them. If they were $99, I'd get another pair, but for $30, I'd go with Under Armour.
All of the materials and workmanship are of the highest quality. They have a good amount of flex and are well-fitting. I wear them in my crossfit workouts because they're just loose enough to not restrict me while also maintaining my body shape and not looking sloppy like some other brands. These shorts have a 5" inseam and hit right around the middle of the thigh. The color is the same as in the photo (green). I'd prefer these to my much more expensive TenThousand brand shorts if they had the option of coming with a liner.
