About 18 in. is what I am getting from my tape measure. Dimensions 5 1/4" wide x 11 1/4" tall. The depth is 5" and the height is 11". There's actually a little room to pack more into it than those exact dimensions, since the sides are flexible.
It was used for basketball by my son. He was able to fit all his gear in it and even had There was a lot more there than I imagined.

There is indeed an Xtra Large size to this bag. As a soccer coach, I purchased this for all of my equipment. There is enough space to store cones, pinnies, balls, agility poles, and much I cannot believe how much storage is in this thing, but I am very grateful for all that extra space.

The size of my pack still left me with room for maybe 20% more than I packed a protein shaker, three 16oz water bottles, a small backpack, gloves, towel, diapers/wipes/snacks for my kids. To give you an idea of how large the "small" size really is, here are a few photos of me wearing the bag. I like the feel of the lightweight, but well-made material. I think even easy to clean it should be. That bag is great! I'm so happy with it!.
Her school book bag was quite large, and she wished to have something smaller so she could fit it in her locker as well. I was unsure if the small would be too large. It is a locker with a lock. School allows no bags, and they can't carry them around. As much as I wanted to read reviews of the extra small, I was unable to find them on Amazon, which made me take a chance. I was tempted by cheap gym bags, but researching the descriptions, the details, and the many reviews made me decide it was best to go with a brand I know and trust. Having done so was a good move. I am able to fit all my clothes, towels, toiletries, and shoes in the medium. It is the bag that I kept and the one I ordered. There is a lot of stuff in this bag. I would never go to the gym on a regular basis with this equipment. As a result Whether you're going out for the day or attending a sporting event, this bag would be ideal. The entire set fit within a large room that offered significant room for expansion. As I was deciding between the medium and small, this is the best size for airport carry-on. I wanted something I could use for a weekend's worth of clothes and still be able to take the bag onto an airplane. When checked in person in a local store, I found that the medium was way too large compared to this small. Upon further inspection, the bag appears to be well made, the zippers are excellent quality, and the carry handles are a nice touch. I can't wait to check out how well it holds up when it is loaded with stuff.
