Basically, this belt seemed to do one thing it held the belt in place. This race number will be held. I like that it won't rip through good running shirts or my triathlon kit because it doesn't pin through. I used this belt in 3 triathlons and 2 road races, but one of the straps for attaching the bibs simply snapped off! To be honest, I wasn't all that attached to start with. But, you get what you pay for, I guess. As cheap as it was, it didn't last as long as I had hoped, but I didn't expect it to fall apart so quickly.
This belt works well as a racing belt. I bought two of them for my teen children so they could race their first superbike. Bring me along if you want to sprint triathlon. The athletes like being able to wear their numbers on their jersey without having to pin them.
At the advice of a friend, however, I did not use the spring clips, but used safety pins through the attachment points on the belt. (The spring clips can get in the way and could pull loose. it did save my shirt, which is what was most important here, and the loop holder held my supplement pack even during.
I like it a lot.
I am not sure if I would recommend it. It was an excellent product in my triathlon and made me feel like I wasn't running a marathon. I don't know if it would be useful in a very long race, though. The distance I've ran with it is 8 or 10 miles. This was a rather easy to use unit that held up pretty.
If you are looking for a race belt with one sleeve to put on your gus, then this is the item for you.
I like it much better than wearing it on your shirt with pins!.
