There are 1 inches of width on the belt. It lasts a very long time.
I do not know the exact measurements, but it is pretty big. It was about 8" too long so I cut it off and had about 8" left over.
This 48-inch long webbing is cut to fit through the buckle and left with some extra at the end for the "tail.".

It was a pleasure to receive these OSFA Nike belts as the packaging was great and the product arrived in perfect condition. My belts got trimmed down to fit my waist size once I got them all out, so after I wore the white belt for a round of golf it looked great. I am now going to tell you why I rated this three out of five stars. Belt buckles like this are impossible to stay on belts and can often be easily lost. As a response to your question, I tightened it against the "teeth" of the belt buckle and if you never have to loosen it, you're good to go. When you find yourself in need of a bathroom after having one too many Blue Moons, all bets are off. lose the belt, prepare yourself to hear the metal belt buckle and to do a little dance off the tile floor because you might hear one of those. Good belt, except for that.
I am extremely disappointed in this product. The belt buckle continues to fall off and I have lucky missed stepping into the toilet bowl on a number of occasions while trying to unbuckle the belt to use the bathroom. You'd better have a very large font if you have a small one It's likely that they will be large, even if they have a normal or smaller waist. The belts I like are adjustable so I can make them bigger or smaller depending on my weight or whether I just want a belt for cosmetic reasons.

It's awfully high quality. The belt buckle comes off when the belt is undone. Despite the clasp's strength, it is not secure. It's too bad I threw out the box. Had I known it was going to be returned, I would have returned it. It is not to be recommended!.
