Questions & Answers
It doesn't fit because I should have ordered a size up because it was too small for me.
I tried it in a light mist and it worked fine, but I haven't tried it in the rain.
It's only the back pocket that I'm concerned about.
I believe the intended purpose is to fold the jacket into the pocket and secure the pouch around your waist with the straps; however, I use them to scrunch up the pouch into a ball, wrap it twice with the straps, latch the clips, and shove the pouch into a jersey pocket. That way, it's much cleaner, and you won't have to worry about the pouch bouncing around.

This feature is fantastic for storage. This jacket is the second time I've bought it. I purchased it due to the color's visibility. Nothing else I've seen compares to this solar orange when it comes to visibility from a distance. The first jacket I bought was an XL because all the reviews I read said you should size up. XL, on the other hand, was far too large and flailed about like a sail. After about a year of use, the zipper on this first purchase became messed up, so I went down to the L for my second purchase. The L was just right, with plenty of room for layers. I could have gone down to a M, but that would have left me with little room for layers. Apart from the zipper getting messed up on the first purchase, I think this is a great product. I especially like the feature where you can fold the entire jacket down into the back pocket and then compress it with the elastic straps into a size that fits easily in a jersey pocket. On my first purchase, the zipper was "sticky," and I couldn't get it to zip up. A little soap or grease would have helped in some cases, but I didn't want to risk getting stuck somewhere when I needed the jacket and couldn't get the zipper started. I didn't have any other issues like busted seams or ripped fabric.
Fantastic value for money - $16. Specifically created for the off-season - The temperature rises throughout the day, from cool in the morning to warm in the afternoon. The jacket is meant to be worn over your regular riding gear to add a layer of warmth and protection. As the temperature rises during the ride, it's easy to fold and store in a jersey pocket. I have a heavier-weight Canari jacket with zip-off sleeves. This jacket has performed admirably, but it is bulkier and more difficult to store in a jersey pocket. In the cooler months, I put it on. On first glance, the Solar Flare appears to be of the same high quality as my other Canari jackets, and I expect it to last just as long. While bent forward or riding in the drops, the jacket's elasticized waist comes down low in the back to provide excellent lower back protection. How can you go wrong with a jacket like this for less than $20?.
I live in Alaska and bought this to use for cycling at the start and end of our relatively short cycling season. It was designed to provide a little extra wind protection on chilly road bike rides. br>br>I've already planned ahead of time. I've signed up for a 50-minute training session. A few months before race day, I did a mile July ride/race. On race day, the weather was drizzly and in the low 40s, as luck would have it. (Ouch) I wore this jacket to the event and am glad I did. I wore it the entire time and found it to be extremely comfortable and warm. Sure, I got a little wet (the jacket isn't advertised as "waterproof"), but it did a fantastic job of keeping me warm and much dryer than I would have been otherwise. br>br>The jacket fits well and does not "flap" excessively, even in hot weather. descents at a high rate br>br>I'm very pleased with this jacket, despite the fact that I've only worn it once since purchasing it. br>br>Note: If you're looking for a unique way to express yourself, try using the words "creative In drizzly, overcast weather, I ordered the red color, which I believe made me very visible on the road. br>br>This jacket comes highly recommended. particularly at this price!.
This is a very low-cost jacket. It has a shoddy zipper and, like cotton, allows water to pass through. However, it is excellent value for money at under $20. When I lock my bike up, I don't have to worry about losing it, and it packs down to the size of a tennis ball, making it easy to stuff into a pocket. This jacket is worn over a t-shirt when I bike. I've worn this shirt in temperatures ranging from 50 to 67 degrees Fahrenheit, and I've biked down to 37 degrees Fahrenheit with gloves and a hooded sweater underneath.
Stunning coat - It fulfills the purpose for which I purchased it. Wind protection is definitely a plus. I bought this to wear on windy days in the 50s and 60s (I have a lined jacket that I wear on cooler days), and it's perfect. I'm 6 feet tall and weigh 175 pounds. The large is a little too big for me. If you prefer looser clothing, size up because the orange is very bright and noticeable. It also collapses into a very small space when not in use. I was able to fold it up and stuff it into the pocket of my jersey. For the price, this is a fantastic jacket.
I also got it at a great discount. Due to the lack of side pockets on the Flare, a star has been deducted. It's light, so it'll be perfect for cool mornings when the Optimo would be too hot. Reflectors are strategically placed, the bag folds into a pouch, and the zip works well when the inner wind flap is guided with a finger. At the time of my review, the large was only $10, which was a great deal. I have four Canari pieces (for a total of $60), and they are excellent value for money cycling clothing.
The 2XL is a little big on me, but it'll cover a couple of layers for cool fall and spring rides. I weigh 205 pounds and stand 5'8" tall.
Due to the lack of ventilation, this windbreaker is ideal for extremely cold weather. The fabric is a dense nylon that looks and feels great while also providing excellent wind protection. Drivers will notice the bright orange color. This, according to some, is a tight situation. I am 6 feet tall, 140 pounds, and wear a medium, which is the perfect size for me. The only part of the jacket that is tight is the elastic at the bottom, which keeps it airtight. I can move while wearing a heavy smartwool 250 long sleeve crew, a thick fleece, and a Patagonia micropuff jacket underneath! It looks great with just a tee shirt or with all of the insulation layers on. Some people say it's too short, but it's not; the front is shorter than the back, as is the case with most bike jackets, and there's plenty of arm length for my long arms. This is an excellent bike jacket at an excellent price.
