I'm not sure how long a 5X is, but the XL I ordered fits me perfectly.
The pockets are generously sized and deep. There's even a pocket on the inside. These jackets are worn by me, my son, and my grandfather. Windbreaker is very nice and light. I hope this information is useful. Remember that Amazon stands behind their products, and you can return them at any time if you are unhappy with them. I'm sure you'll enjoy it. lol
I ordered an XL for my mother because she is a little shorter and weighs a little less. It was the perfect fit!

I never imagined that the most common complaint I'd have about a jacket would be that it's too loud, but it is. Because the buttons are so loud, they appear to be used as baby rattles. They aren't loose; instead, they appear to be filled with a few beads each. With this jacket on, you won't be able to sneak up on anyone. It both frightens wildlife and calms babies, so it must be useful. br>It's thin, which makes it easy to pack, but that's about all you can say about it. The pockets are so small that they're practically useless.
It appears to be very thin and cheap. I ordered a 3x to wear over a sweatshirt, but it was more like a 5x large. The item was returned for a refund.
The old jacket that belonged to my wife had long since vanished. Hoodies aren't really necessary in Central Florida. A simple jacket, however, such as this one, can be useful. We were looking for a jacket similar to the ones we wore in high school. The most common type of letter jacket at most schools. It's all over now. Thank you to the other customers for providing such useful information, and to the Amazon seller for providing accurate fitting instructions.
A black or dark gray jacket is shown in the illustration for the "graphite" color option. The jacket I received is a light grey color.
We didn't want lined jackets, but no one seems to have them. If that's what you're looking for, this jacket isn't for you.
Even at this price, the jacket feels thin and flimsy.

I bought this jacket in a size Medium for my size Large husband after reading the reviews. Medium was too small, and the jacket would have been more true to size if I had purchased as I should have. My fault, but the jacket is too lightweight for me.
