There is an odd fit here

It's a cute pattern on those shorts themselves (the design). Even though she loved them, as soon as she tried them on we all realized they weren't suitable I took my daughter's measurements and she is quite petite but has a muscular dance build so I wouldn't say she is exceptionally thin. To give you a better perspective, the sizes were a bit bigger in the hip area than they were in the crotch area. There are some children for whom a smaller size would be better. Due to my inability to use mine, I have decided to return it.

After one wash, the rainbow color was gone

Shorts in theory like this are great-however after just one wash the rainbow color came off, leaving the shorts silver in color. The blue, the pink, and the purple werehed off after one wash, leaving the shorts We hope the seller will make it right and send a new pair of shoes that stay the same color.

My only complaint is that I had to go up one size

I went up a size for my seven year old and the shorts fit her like regular shorts, so they were a little looser than I thought they would be. Since they are still cute and she will get a few years out of them, I thought I'd keep.
